So, we converted INR to Turkish Lira at the airport and for rest of the expenses withdrawn case from ATM or paid using credit card. You can use cards in Istanbul but in areas like Cappadocia and Pammukale, shopkeepers and travel agencies mostly ask for cash to it’s safe to carry cash either Turkish Lira or Euro, both are accepted.
Yes, it’s completely safe to do a road trip around Turkey but just to be extra careful take vehicle from some known vendors like AVIS, Budget, Cars24 etc.
