Wow! That was one expensive Nja wedding.!!The courage it must have taken her to speak up is enormous. I remember her disappearing on my feed. I thought nothing of it until she came back and began talking about mental breakdown and even being hospitalized for that. Her physical appearance changed drastically . I just couldn’t deal with that cos l knew something was not right and it broke my heart every time l watched her struggling with life as a single parent. I pray she has the support of her family and friends. Poor baby!! Ronke, lifting you up in prayers❤❤❤❤❤❤. Unbelievable!!
I sensed abuse when she told her story with battling mental health and revealed she was divorced.
It must be really hard to have children by an abusive man because you can never rid yourself of the beast for the rest of your life. I'm child free and never married but I have truly always thought long and hard about being tied to a man for life in either way and I really pay attention to their actions and I never discount my gut when I feel somehting is off, which has been hard because that means I really haven't been in many relationships because I will immediately cut a man off at the first signs of bad behavor towards me. I don't expect him to be perfect but when his actions are intentional to try to break me in anyway, I know the spirit behind that and he gets walking papers immediately!

I can tell you that it is difficult to be attached to a man you want nothing to do with, but because you have children with him, you become terribly unhappy with yourself. It appears to be absolute misery. I have a family member who is in a horrible relationship, she is staying in the marriage for the sake of the children. Her children are still very young, and she and her hubby own the home they live in together. Throughout the years she has gotten very bitter, angry and resentful. OH, and she is always shouting at the children, and is easily agitated.

Please ma'am don't never think you failed. You passseeedddddd! You found strength to leave and didn't look back. It takes a lot mental, emotional, financial, physical gut to walk away. You letting him defeat you to the grave is defeat or failure, God forbid! But you chose strength by taking your power back. It is only normal for you to look back and reflect or think on some things but just learn your lessons and move on. Don't let it get you stuck.

The bible says that there are times for hiding and times for exposure. Please darling queens SPEAK UP like mama Fumi and myself (I’m 63) are saying and LEAVE if your soul and spirit is being crushed by someone who is supposed to be your rock but is turning out to be a squeezing wall. I did it in my twenties and it is the best decision of my life. Stay true, stay treasured, stay loved by God and breathe joy and sing every morning.

I been through it and I thank God for those who were praying for me. I broke it off and would like to encourage any victim that only God can change the offender. I promise you! And if you are living with the offender, secretly pack your 'escape essentials' Passport, papers etc.
As soon as your ready, go to your local GP, hospital, police station report it, STAY there and let them supoort you after that.

I love how Fumi said she took domestic violence out with the trash. I could never have imagined she went through that. May God perfect her healing. These situations are getting scarier by the day. I have & can’t never been in an abusive relationship because my parents laid a good example for me. Plus I am so in-love with myself. In 2015, I was in relationship with a guy who saw nothing wrong with abusive relationships ( physical & mental). I had to break with him because I am love ❤️ & can only give love.

I just want to say that I'm going through a very difficult loss of my best friend she was killed by her husband whom killed himself as well I am thankful to see these women getting out safely before it was too late. It's hard to accept being a victim woman or man and harder to get away from your abuser

It is now call Intimate Partner Violence, from anyone you have a relationship with. It can include relatives, friends, co-worker, husbands and boyfriends, girlfriends. It is so sad because young girls and boys are looking at celebrities and influencers wanting this world and not knowing that IPV is one of the negative sides. I commend you for putting light on this subject.

Sister Fumi I'm loving the jacket. As a mom of 5 girls and 1 son, my husband and I have taught them to leave and come home before they let someone abuse them. The 2 youngest have encountered abuse and when I tell you my husband was there to handle things in a lightening second...He was. However, my son has several times by 3 different young ladies, and he held the 1st time a secret but as a mom I picked up on it. I told him just like we tell the girls I'm telling you never let anyone abuse you and you stay! Never be an abuser nor the abused. Someone else's trauma is not an excuse and always tell somebody even if you don't report it. I pray for the world and that we learn LOVE covers a multitude of sin.💜

A teacher just lost her life in my country (Cameroon) days back due to domestic violence and I've been extremely angry about it like I knew the lady. Any woman who still stays in such marriages these days are truly cowards cuz....why not leave while you still can for crying out loud??? Sadly it is her family that'll feel the loss and endure the pain and loosing a loved one really aches

I'm 54yrs old and every day we had humans make mistakes but we must certainly learn from them.

I keep reading comments about Ronke's return to UA-cam and how she looked strange/her appearance changed drastically. I'm really confused, she looked normal to me. Just that she wasn't doing as much makeup or beauty related content, more vlogging etc. I figured that being a mum of two and going through a breakup has an impact on you, but she didn't look bad at all. I was just happy to see her back. Am I missing something?

"Emotional abuse can turn physical depending on the extent". This statement stopped me in my tracks. We have to recognize that abuse does not need to be physical to be taken seriously!! Emotional abuse is enough of a reason to go, it's not "just" emotional or verbal or financial and we have to teach our young people that. And this isn't necessarily directed at Ronke but in all of the cases you mentioned in this video as well- Keke+ Darius, Jamie+ Nikki, etc. You don't have to wait until it's unbearable to go. You didn't waste your time if you split after 8 years together due to abuse. I really hate how much we've valued marriage or children as this ultimate accomplishment without really internalizing what a HEALTHY relationship looks like. Especially in many west African cultures (and I'm sure in many others as well, but that's my background).
Second of all, I am honestly starting to believe that social media "influencing" or content creation is psychologically detrimental not only to those watching but to those creating as well. For the perpetrators of IPV, I believe the praise lifts their (usually already big) egos to such astronomical heights they'll justify anything they've done wrong bc they feel untouchable. For the survivors, they feel such a strong desire to maintain their image professionally and personally that they would risk their lives and safety (emotional, mental, physical, financial in some cases). Of course this has been true of partner violence forever but I believe social media is exacerbating the problem tenfold. At this point when I see charismatic couples, I run far away. I pray every day for those who have gone through this and wish that we as a community would take every step necessary to protect each other 💜💜💜
