    What is condemnation ?
the expression of very strong disapproval; censure. “there was strong international condemnation of the attack" and can also be said to be the action of condemning someone to a punishment; sentencing
Romans 10:9-10 those who have faith in Jesus Christ are no longer under the condemnation of the law. The word "condemnation" used in this verse means "a guilty verdict" or "a punishment." It refers to the judgment that comes as a result of breaking God's law.
The Bible teaches that “all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives” Romans 3:23 (AMPC), and “the wages which sin pays is death” Romans 6:23 (AMPC).
However, Romans 8:1 (AMPC) declares that ”there is now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus,” This means that those who have placed their faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior are no longer under the judgment of the law. They are not guilty, and they will not face punishment for their sins.
The reason why believers are no longer under condemnation is because of what Jesus Christ did on the cross. He took upon Himself the punishment that we deserved for our sins. He died in our place and paid the price for our redemption. As a result, those who believe in Him are now justified, meaning they are declared righteous before God.
The phrase "in Christ Jesus" used in this verse is significant. It means that those who are saved by faith in Jesus are united with Him. They are "in" Him, and He is "in" them. This union with Christ means that believers share in his victory over sin and death.
To summarize, Romans 8:1 is a powerful declaration of the freedom and security that believers have in Christ Jesus. It assures us that there is no condemnation, no guilty verdict, and no punishment for those who have placed their faith in Jesus. This is because of what Jesus did on the cross, and our union with Him means that we share in His victory over sin and death. Let us therefore rejoice and give thanks to God for this amazing grace that has been bestowed upon us.
