10 Signs You Are Listening to the Ministry of Condemnation

  • The Apostle Paul called the Old Covenant, based on the law, the “ministry of condemnation” (2 Corinthians 3:9), which has such a lesser glory than the covenant in Christ Jesus we can experience today. For much of the New Testament, the Apostles had to bring the body of Christ out of law-based thinking and living, so they could experience the ministry of righteousness, founded on the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of Father God.
I realized I was listening to the wrong ministry. I was sitting under a religious framework that was still keeping me in performance-based Christianity with perfectionistic undertones. One day I realized, “I need to listen to a new ministry!”

😲 I just realized that the same way I relate to God I do with other people. I have to watch this one multiple times so I can take notes and change my ways. This is just great content. Thank you so much! 😃

Ask Holy Spirit to transform you by His Glory in the secret Place...dont "change your ways", that'll only cement behaviour modification, which would end up as works and law = sin. 2Cor3:18, Matt 6:6

Mark Dejesus, you have changed my life, Wow! All I can say is thank you. Your experiences mirror my almost exactly. What I am learning now is bringing such freedom and is finally exposing the root issue in my life. God bless you.

Woooowwww!!! Thank you!!!Everything you talked about ... every 10 points... rang true for me!!! Condemnation is a BIG deal in Christianity today... so many people in church hate themselves and feel condemned, making it impossible to receive Gods love.😕
How does one undo all of this? 🤔
Freedom from this very tricky Mark...

I struggle with self forgiveness of past mistakes and I focus more on the sin then on freedom. I need some words if encouragement for that please. I also want to mention that I am a new believer and I tend to doubt and question who God is in my life.

I'm glad you touching on these topic. Cos a lot of people are trying to get out this (especially those who understand we are not living a performance based Christianity).
It's almost impossible to escape it in most churches it's become a culture.

To me it goes into trust. In crisis, at times I know He loves me to point it casts out fear and I have no doubt. I grow. Other times I fear growth. Love, trust, healing, overcoming (Spiritual personal growth in your relationship to Christ) is JOY. But it is hard, and it is a battle/journey to overcome one heart issue, one crisis at a time. As you overcome, you grow strong enough to face something harder. Idk if that is "legalistic", "victim" mindset, fatigue/enemy thoughts that make me fear growth could mean things could get worse. Maybe I don't love him enough to grow more. Maybe it's easier to live in denial. I have Christian friends that are happy, unhappy, but none that . love and trust Him as much as I should.

I understand his point however I would also like to mention something slightly different. Ministries that have sermons and then come to Jesus prayers, or even group Bible studies leading a person to Jesus and then automatically guiding a person into a pipeline (sometimes accompanied by some studies on spiritual gifts) to 'serve the church' and help save/ bring more souls to Christ. My point is even if you undergo a 3-month meet every two weeks Bible study leading you to Jesus, there can be ongoing issues in your life and your mind and heart in which you need to go through a longer Deliverance process. Many times some ministries can make deliverance into a 1-2 meeting event. Whereas for some people the things that they need deliverance from, well actually take longer and more time, which of course involves them still studying and learning from God's word.
What I'm trying to say is that more often than not I often see this formula in churches of preach provide some study about Jesus and then automatically assume and treat new attendees as if they are " set free" & now 'living in a new life' by Jesus. When in fact for some the process to find or reach this new life may actually take longer, and it could take several months to a year or more for a person to actually reach True Deliverance or even true connection with God and true understanding of his love. so what I'm trying to say is that for some ministries this model of have a few sessions to teach people about Jesus and then assume that they are set free is not necessarily realistic or helpful model.
    - how churches are going about this including this quick come to Jesus model needs to be looked at, especially as fewer millennials and fewer people in general (29%) are not religiously affiliated.
    - my opinion is this quick come to Jesus model, is not realistic relative to the walk and needs of many people. And as someone who has undergone this, it is also off-putting to then be around a bunch of Christians who are drumming up their devotion to Jesus and their deep spiritual life, which which you do not judge but you are accepting that you are not there yet and it's going to take more time for you to have true secure connection understanding and knowing of God's love and also reach a place of Deliverance where this new life is something you are living. IMO ministries need to recognize this and have a track for people who find the Deliverance process can take longer for them. Many times a person can feel or experience that, even though they've had some teachings about Jesus and their mind can say it agrees that Jesus came to atone for their sins, this doesn't mean that having had this Bible study and also attending church Sunday lessons the person had actually arrived at a point of Deliverance, or reached or attained true revelation of this new life Jesus apparently offers. and yes I know that there is study on baptism but I'm not even discussing that. All of this is to say even if someone goes further to study baptism they can still be struggling or in a process in learning and gaining faith and actually gaining true understanding and connection with God. So my problem is this come to Jesus pipeline model that I am seeing with many modern-day churches.

New Christian's can be used by God. God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. Don't get too comfy around the " time" factor. Many evil ppl attend church when someone brags about how long they have been saved...run!! Spiritual piety makes me sick and it made Jesus sick too.
We are saved by what Jesus did for us while we were yet sinners!!! It is undeserved favour which is what Grace is.

Gotta be careful who you listen to. Also realize that we have an enemy who's whole purpose is to be a Ministry of Condemnation. So you might be listening to a teacher that is trying to warn UNBELIEVERS but do to that accusing voice in our heads we think it's us. We always assume we are the foolish virgins with no oil in our lamps but God doesn't think of us that way. He sees us and sees Jesus!
