Is provisional degree certificate is enough for getting a post doctoral admission sir. Actually my final phd OD will get on September.. but they are telling admission is on June.
It is always good to have the actual PhD in hand by the time you go to the university. But provisional certificate may be good enough for applying for postdoc.
Sir i have two research papers of first author and total 11. I did email to many professors in china but was not able to get post doc. What was the reason. Two first authors journal papers are not enough? How muvh impact factor should a paper have for attaining post doc?
There are some reports that economy in China is not doing so well now. So that could be a reason. Try to apply to partner countries specially the BRICS countries and the Middle East. Thanks for the Information sir... I am doing PhD in China but unable to find post doc here because my age is 38 years old and hopefully I'll be 40 year at the completion of PhD... So the cut off age for post doc is 35 years in China... Do I have other ways to secure post doc positions?
As someone who finished postdoc I tell you they cheat in their contract. They kept 20% to 25% of your annual salary as bonus of your contracts. They normally bring 1001 excuses not to pay this amount. For instance, if your contract is 25000 RMB per month, they give you something like 18000 or 19000 per month.
This is interesting to know. Thanks for bringing this to the notice of others. The bonus culture is quite popular in East Asia and the amount totally depends on the management. But ideally they should mention this upfront in the contract.
It is not a bonus. It is a part of our monthly salary. Their bonus is something else more than their regular salary which covers travels... @@Drganguli

Hello Sir, I am looking for postdoc position in nanoscience, material chemistry in China. I wrote email to several professors in China, but didn't get any reply. What is the reason? Please guide me.
Do you have any journal papers? You may need to ask people from more normal ranked universities. Also the political situations may have an impact on these matters. So also consider Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Russia. These areas are also good for Europe if you have some papers. You have to check different university web pages in China and find scholarships for PhD programs. You can also ask to head of departments or individual professors and say that you want to do PhD with them or in their department and ask how you can apply.
hello sir. how are you. sir, I want to know if doing a postdoc in Hong Kong is recognised in India.,When applying for a teaching position or an industry position in india??
Yes Hong Kong has good universities. All post docs are recognised but it is good to have some papers from them. Otherwise they can backfire for academics but be fine for industry.
Actually, I know these all things and I am trying to get a position in any of the chinese university. I am not getting one position in Material Chemistry
Hello! I'm writing from Turkey. What is your department? I did my PhD in mathematics education. Which university in Hongkong has a post doc program. Which university has the best teaching faculty in China?
I am in engineering. Try hkust. I don’t know about teaching faculty but Tsingua University is top in research. I assume Chinese universities teach in mandarin though but Hong Kong and Singapore use English.
You need to go to the web page, click on the application form and see if it can be filled online or needs to be downloaded. Then, upload all your documents like CV, research statement etc. on the system. These may be needed as different files or as one pdf file. I suggest that you use pdf files to upload as the format for Word files can get messed up.
