There was that word again, palpable. The writers of these stories just love that word. They must have discovered it when someone else put it on a Scrabble board.
A strp child who lost the necklace they wanted so much. The mom is only reaching out now because the golden step child showed her true colours, and she's now realising she chose rong.
My words to them would have been "Life is like that necklace, when you're careless you lose it, and you don't know what you had until you lose it, now move on." Had the step sister not lost her necklace that was not rightfully hers, her mother would have not been apologetic, or remorseful.
Grandma knows that if she doesn’t do something for her grandbaby she will get nothing. Frankly her mom sounds like she’s in a cult. I hate parents who do this get remarried and then in a bid to make a new family abandon the first one. Maybe it’s to please a spouse or they hated the old spouse. Either way the children feel pain they don’t deserve.
Family is important only if everyone is treated equally but when narcissistic family members say but we are family! yeah right they're saying that cus want something from you they don't want you. The best revenge is to live well. Every child deserves a parent not every parent deserves a child!
Lol yet another story where you are only FAMILY and should support each other when it benefits THEM....amazing how quick you become not family when there is nothing in it for them.
Palpable, balm, smile that doesn't meet the eyes, drawing strength, spark, blah, blah, blah. There are so many repetitive words! I wonder if the author has ever heard of a thesaurus? It's like their writing process is to write all the repetitive words, then go back and fill in the blanks with what might make a new story.😅
Wait for a few years what Olivia does then Maybe like in " The Help" kindness overturns generations too. If you do not value family you do not realy take care.MaybeOP mother founds that out afrer the neclace was gone
Birth parents are supposed to give their own children the heirloom/s, not step children!!

Exactly. They're afraid their new spouse will dump them if they don't go all out to please the stepchild

What a terrible mother and stepsister!
What happened to them in the end? I skipped a little.
What happened to Grandma Helen?
She died early on.
Did grandma die? I missed that
The Fates do not want Olivia to have the heirloom necklace. Maybe the Fates would lead Emma to the necklace.
It wint stay in the family then
What happened to Grandma ?
