I'm having the same problem (2016 KX450). I bought the bike with 23hrs, now has 95 hrs. It happened at 23 hrs, but it seems to slowly be getting worse with the starting issue and yes valves are in spec. Most of the time it seems pretty random, but happens most of the time if I stall it within 10-30 seconds of cold start. Most of the time I can't get it to repeat the problem. Very random. I was wondering if it is the sensor reading coolant temp or sensor reading air temp in the air box might be faulty? Software issue? Curious if I tried another map module? I have the green map module in now. One guy on the internet told me to have fuel pump pressure checked.
@Kiter19735 yes, the bottom ring that goes from the new actual pump to the housing in the fuel pump can easily get pinched and break. When reinstalling, add a motor oil covering to the o ring and it will help from getting damaged.
It was the fuel pump on mine!
it was the fuel pump o ring partially ripped !i had such a hard time with it !Mistery shit!
First I replaced fuel pump. Helped but didn't work. Next, coolant temp sensor.
From another video, check the fuel pump.
