Shadow's arrival was a welcome comic relief after witnessing Jackie's valiant efforts. The man is carrying a nice stick on him at all times. And his "what's different about you?" stare at Jackie before noticing the egg was priceless.

I was so happy to see the first egg! And Jackie worked hard to lay that egg! Her high pitched tones, her feathers fluffing up, her stance all pointed towards her announcing, "an egg is coming!" Eventually proud Papa Shadow arrived and took a seat on a branch where he will protect his mate Jackie and their egg. I hope with all my heart that Jackie and Shadow can protect the eggs and keep them warm enough so the eggs will be viable. Let's put our hope in Jackie and Shadow having adorable little eaglets. ❤

Well done camera operator, who didn't miss this awesome event, and zoomed in on the egg! Well done you!! Also cool to watch is how Jackie later adjusts the twigs that her foot got stuck on, causing her to have to jostle around the egg. Very neat to witness.
