I think the criticism of this is that it is so much like everything the Christian music and media has been doing for decades. They look over at the secular world to see what’s trendy and popular and try to cash in on creating a Christian version of it. Barney is why we have a purple singing songbook. Adele is why we have Lauren Daigle, etc. The Bible says we should sing a new song and to be unlike the world yet we use worldly things to entice them into the Christian world.
My kids grew up with this. My youngest is nearly 18 and still sings the songs. We are now telling the next generation to watch it.
