Diane Adkins I know this video was 3yrs ago, but I just watched it and you said something that touched my heart. Your so right, little Lori is so pitiful. Her mom rejected her at just I think 2 months old. She never in all her little life had love and affection from Amari. Some of the older females would let her sleep on their chest, but, not often. Dolly was always holding her against her will while sitting right next to Amari and Amari did nothing. I hated both Amari and Dolly for this. But, they both got what they deserved in the end. Karma gets you one way or another. Oh well, I didn't mean to go on so long, I just loved your comment. You sound like you have a loving and kind heart. GID BLESS YOU AND YOURS😊😊❤️👍👍😇.

@@saragarcia7655 There is no relation, they literally are 2 different types of macaque species, Lori is a "crab eating macaque" is the correction name but they are commonly called long tail mac's for obvious reasons. Ashley is a pig tail Mac. I'm pretty sure Ashley was a former pet dumped by they locals, a good number of yrs ago & was able to be accepted into that group of long tail mac's, Lori was born from these semi wild(sadly to say, extremely freaking sad to say) into the group.

I have felt so bad for Lori from the time she was born. Her aged mother was losing control of her troop, and Lori was attacked from the first by the other females jostling to take over, thus showing Amari too weak to defend her own child, too weak to be Alpha of her troop. Then the other babies started attacking her, too. And all this was before her injuries. I just hate to see her suffering going on like this. Poor little thing can’t even climb a tree now.
These are very strong animals. Popeye has one eye, Mary only one hand. What kept them from dying? It wasn’t VOs. I think Lori will be better with time and as she gets older. She’s feeling vulnerable right now and needs comforting. Ashley is always protecting the weak. She has hit Lori before to protect Polly. She’s not perfect she’s a monkey but she is naturally compassionate.

Lori may be in pain, but I think the crying and screeching is fear because she knows she is vulnerable without one of the adults with her.
I wish Lori was older when the hit happened. Maybe if she could have stayed calm and not get all stressed out....healing might have been possible.
Pingui Cula I think the constant following around does stress them out. It’s unnatural and for god sake, they can’t even tinkle without having it recorded. We’ve made it much worse because we watch and they record. Kind of a bad cycle that’s hard to break. 💕😉
This is true Pingui Cula. I would be stressed with cameras stuck in my face constantly too. Most humans get at least one day off a week. Too bad these poor babies are so far down on the give a shit chain.
Lori is on the low end of the help chain right now. They just took 2 babies to the vet.

Be careful there VO, I happen to be an OLD mom; and while I can't keep up with the young mom's, it doesn't mean I don't make up that deficit with age related wisdom! SO...SO WHAT if Amari's old, it doesn't mean Lori doesn't need her. Take that; put that in your pipe and smoke it. THUMBS DOWN for your age shaming Amari! Amari is a wise soul and while we may not understand everything she does; she DOES know what she is doing and she DOES love her Lori. (Wish this old lady could give you 2 thumbs down for the crack about age!)
Robin S I absolutely agree with you, most don’t see that Amari does what she does for a reason, reasons she learned from many years of being a mom and being female alpha. Amari knows the wild is relentless and doesn’t slow down because you are injured or want to cuddle, that’s a sad reality but a true one. Same goes with Popeye she’s an older mom and so many are hard on her saying she is mean and doesn’t love her babies and I see the opposite I see her hard on them because she loves them ...both moms know the babies have to learn respect and also how to fend for themselves they aren’t always going to have mom there sadly.
I will say though in this situation it is sweet to see Lori get cuddles from Ashley she needed all the love she could get!

Thank God of Ashley!! I love her so much!! She love little babies and take them in her arms and comforting them. Although she can`t give milk to Lori she can comforting her and love tenderly, poor little Lori!! It`s heartbreaking see how she suffering all the time!! I don`t know what Ashley thinking in her head but sometimes it looks very much human like. She behave like a human mom although it`s not mom at all. She looks very wise and understander little babies and she know what they need and give much love to all babies whose come to her.

How do you know her troop is tired of her? because just the other day when she was so out of it all of the adult females came to her aid..They groomed her,protected her,and even cuddle her to the point she was trying to get away from them so she could rest..Lol..So as stated above it is up to the monkey's not humans to make that call and so far they have been by her when she really needed them even when they were being pushed by the Amber group Lori was not left behind..

They should have never brought her back out her mother has never been a mom she gave her to some to her 💔 in a tree after she had cried for a long time for her to came and got her not more than 10 min later she gave her to the one who had just been abusing her she shouldn't have bee made to come out because her mother was sad

Be kind and euthanize this pitiful thing. She limps, scratches, screeches, pukes (then eats it), drinks urine and is brain damaged. Enough suffering. Amari has had it. Ashley turns on them and soon she will be tired of her as well. The next Amber attack they will make sure Lori does not limp away from.

It breaks my heart that Ashley isn’t a mom but then I realized if she was a Mom who would be the surrogate mom to all the babies who rely upon Ashley’s kindness & love like Lori & Daniela rip...and all the others Ashley has mothered.
Poor baby Lori💔 She has it rough! I live in constant pain too and I can barely understand it, this poor little creature should never have to experience the pain that is so obvious. She couldn't have drawn a worse name for mom. Amari may be many good things but mom isn't one of them. Maybe this is a lesson that you don't always get an easy baby, sometimes you get one that needs more and it's up to you to step up and meet her needs. It doesn't seem like too much for a baby to have a place to feel safe and loved while she sleeps. I imagine that these kids are a lot like people kids and when the other kids are playing and yours is sleeping it is not a good sign. It's a good thing that Ashley is so bonded to her. Sad.

See this video is a good example of what is really sad about Lori besides being injured a lot for things outside her control. Around 1:55-2:00 there is nothing going on but yet Lori starts acting like she is about to be attacked by a Wolf or kidnapped by Sasquatch and she will make the squeaky voice and cry to where she even has the saddest look on her face but there is no danger or in any kinda trouble. It annoys a lot of the adult female monkeys and the big males will actually hit her for it ive seen it done a number of times. However I believe she does this only to get attention and some coddling plus the added benefit of the tit tossed in her mouth. She feels this is the only way to get this kind of love because she unlike the other baby monkeys gets it for no reason Amari only shows that kind of love if something drastic happens really so I feel sorry for her it is a sad situation.
Poor baby is asking to be groomed at 1:14 she only wants to feel secure and wanted..Geez, did Amari drink that entire bottle of water?either that or she had been holding her pee for a couple of hours..Lol
I hate repeating the facts about our poor lori girl. She's not supposed to be in the middle of the troop anymore...She's no longer able to keep up with babies her age. She has to be taken to a Sanctuary where she can be feed and rest with other disabled monkeys.
For sure, lori is a liability to her troop, and i dont need to be preached at for ones defending lori. If she dont seriously improve, her life wont matter to the other monkies

I STILL can't believe how much Amari ignored her. Then to have people say she was a good mother, and pregnant, then argue with others who said she was to old or not healthy enough...smh.
She was clearly very unwell at least I find it infuriating that people couldn't see that! Amari was practically skin and bones, she looked rough as hell, I don't know her story though so I can't talk on her mothering skills but she looked so tired and just done with life, I felt so so sad for Lori but a part of me also felt bad for Amari.

If she does (which I doubt) she would not take a few minutes from her very busy social life to actually allow her to nurse from her treasured Noodle Nipple..Amari has dumped Lori which is nothing new with her..She has never truly been a mother to her she always been hot and cold in that department even when Lori was a tiny baby..
Lori is in pain. I'd say from head trauma. And I'd bet she has a slow brain bleed. She is not long for this world, not much can be done. I wish that guy had never hit her. She would have been a great female Alpha.
Carrie Hoover she's definitely not in constant pain, because she does fine and isn't crying a lot of the time. She's doing a lot better today too, she's much stronger and walking better. There's no reason to think she has bleeding on the brain, she would be steadily declining if she did, not showing signs of improvement.

B gilley I haven't seen any new vids of her in the last few days doing anything but crying, being left behind, and very ill. She is in trouble. I hopes she starts to gain ground again asap.
At first I thot Ashley went under there and cuffed Lori to be quiet but it was a diffrent baby,That probably wanted to know why she is crying. I want to know too, hungry. Where are they??These pigtails seem smarter.How did she end up with longtails??

I still think Arroz was right in that her internal organs are failing, in part due to the exceptionally high levels of medication that she was given by the ‘vet’ (pet shop owner).
I just wish that humans hadn’t got involved. She’d be at rest by now and not prolonged pain. I have no doubt the VO’s add pain meds/sedatives to the milk they give her, however, that won’t sustain pain for longer than an hour or so.
Maybe we would be best to just sit back and observe - allow nature to take its course
