I owned a brand new FT-891 that I purchased from a SK Estate that died before it arrived and I never took it out of the box until the new buyer came to pick it up.I knew it would never replace my ICOM 7000 because it’s the HF/6 meter,VHF/UHF Mobile Radio KING.YAESU = Yet Another Excuse Simply Useless.😂🎙
I seriously didn't know it had a waterfall display. :)
How do you access it?
It’s a great feature. Glad I learned about it. Does it help with cicadas?
I dropped into the comments to ask about the cicada filters as well.
It is better than the NR on my 7100. It definitely lowers the noise but it also muffles the voices you want to hear.

Yep!
If you push and hold the scope button, it will be an active waterfall, you just lose audio when using the waterfall.
Press intermittently
@@KaL_TerowI'm aware.
Nice tip! Also, I find that selecting noise reduction profile number 9 usually provides the best balance between removing noise and distorting voice.
