Nice playthrough! Just a small correction: when creating a new room, rules say you cannot place exits on the same wall where the entry is. So in room 1, although you rolled 3 exits, you should have been able to place 2 exits only (right and top). Also yes, if your character rolls a 1,1 in a fight that's an automatic fail with no chance to use shifts. Finally, when looting don't forget to also take the empty pouches, they are very handy to pick up stuff like sand, ash, leaves... Looking forward to the next video!
Thanks for your comments Viktor! Yeah - I forgot about door placement - I'll probably remove the additional door and mention your comment in the next part I film (Part 4).
Ah - thanks for the heads up re rolling 1-1! And good shout on the empty pouches - you can never have too many pouches!
More pouches is more better! ;-)
Very cool. This is a very long walk from the "Make Your Own Dungeon" books of my youth! Thanks for showing us.
I know! It's crazy how much cool stuff there is out there now and how sophisticated these games are getting. Thanks for watching!
Loving the video Paul. That Dark Cleric you dispatched is one of the harder creatures on the level! Nice work and great first strike. Also don't forget your well earned experience points! Looking forward to episode 3.
Thought he might be! Yeah I've already recorded episode 3 and did add on those experience points, though I'm pretty sure I forget to record xp for the enemies I fight in that video too 🙄
@@lone_adventurer I guess you can always go back and see what you fiught and add it up again 🙂
Hey Toby. Looking forward to my copy arriving this week! Could the offering to Maduva have been from removing the Dark Cleric’s teeth? If so how would you run that type of scenario? Are there some tables to roll against for those more traditional RPG agency events?
@@C0ZMICWIZARD Ah yes this is covered in the rules. If you are to remove teeth you become bloodied and tick a bloodied box each turn. 🙂
@@TobyLancaster_DR_Gamesah I see. And presumably I’d roll to see if I was successful with the removal or is that taking it a step too far?
Thanks for making these videos, I'm still making my way through but you've helped explain how the mechanics work a little better, when I get paid next week I'm going to be picking this up.
Excited to see the rest of your playthrough for this and other games!
*subbed*
Thanks for the sub and hope you enjoy the other playthroughs!!
Thanks for this video im definitely sold on 2d6 dungeon now and it dose seem like alot to take in but watching your smooth playthrough I gues you just have to roll with it
I'm new to the game so I apologize if this isn't a good question, but couldn't you have taken some teeth from the dead cleric to make the offering to Maduva? Or bone for that matter?
Yup, that's totally an option! I think if you remove elements from a corpse like that, you get bloodied, which means you start to run the risk of getting infected and losing HP, until you find yourself in a position to wash the blood off!
I do like how there seem to be uses for everything you find in the dungeon, especially the Maduva section from the Chapel. 👍
Totally. If you've a decent imagination, you can totally use anything you find. I need to focus a little bit more on this aspect I think...
This one does seem a bit more complicated than some of the others, but still seems like a great game, thanks
I guess it is a bit of a step up in complexity but, honestly, once you get into it, it really isn't a complex game!
You called it at the beginning of the video - you are rubbish remembering to award yourself Experience Points after the battle. Nice video and thank you for uploading it.
Ha yup - I get there in the end though (always add the points on in the next video)!

Good videos, im mostly a solo player, so often watch your stuff. Likes the he he for banes namesake, the dice gods hate him. 😂
Dunno what he did to those dice gods 🤣
He's even terrible when he needs to roll low, like in 5 parsecs. @@lone_adventurer
What about armor?
What indeed. Generally I find it to be a good idea to wear some.
So healing 1 is actually slightly worse than -1 damage. For example if the Dark Cleric has 2 health left and you deal 2 damage and he heals 1 he would die before the healing happened where as if it was -1 damage he would live with 1 hp. Doesn’t matter too much just wanted to mention it anyway.
Yep - I see what you're saying! Thanks for the explanatinon!
26:40, with the Religious Pouch:
When you find a Pouch of Things, you don't just get the Things...
You also get the Pouch!
Yup, I realise this - I think - near the end of the fourth video! So obvious but for some reason it just didn't occur to me! Thanks for the comments!
I just realized you're using the character sheet I modded to have the extra room for loot lock up. I'm Kevin on the FB group.
Thanks Kevin - loving the sheet!
where do I download the creature cards? I can't seem to find them
Hi Mike, the creature cards are included at the back of one of the books (the book of tables, I think), so you can print out your own from there - as some people have done - or you can (or will soon be able to) purchase them from the DR Games website.
Thank You!!....I've been looking for an independent file. And it was in the tables codex all along!!! @@lone_adventurer
