NO! the Nobel _Peace_ Prize is a B.S. popularity award. Hitler and Stalin were both on the list for it. It has nothing to do with anyone who contributes to human knowledge or the solution to vexing problems.

One thing that wasn't mentioned: bright colours on a black background. This is almost never seen in textbooks. This is what provides a sense of relief when watching the videos - the brain appreciates a different learning environment. Thank you Sal

They hit on this and brushed past it several times without explicitly stating the issue of assumption of knowledge. Sal's math videos are so helpful because he often does little refreshers on previous math concepts while explaining a new one, or tells you what video to go watch if you forget a previous concept essential to understanding the one at hand. This is essential in all education: to remember the student may need an explanation of the smaller pieces the instructor is inclined to assume they already know.

I am looking forward to checking out this new series. Sal is great. He is such a master student. He really knows how to chunk down information into memorable bite sized pieces. It is part of what makes him a great teacher.

    4) Simple.
    Excellent stuff.

One idea about the tutorial being thought provoking: at the end of the video, challenge the student with a question that could be answered based only on the information provided on this tutorial. In the case of mathematics, could be some ideas to make a set of problems. Something that would prove they understood the video. I like this idea of making the videos short. If I do not understand, then I can watch it again. Thanks to all who are involved in this project.

I mean, you can make an instructional video with all the qualities that were written on the Board, but might fail if the speaker doesn't have the necessary voice quality.

If "the easiest person to fool is yourself", then the only measure of value is the successful understanding of the students of the concepts, even if they've learned more from the Socratic Method than you have..
