    These are great vids guys, very instructional. I'm taking notes on all your tips. I'm also in Aus, and have a MF 1095 on order, which is just a stretched version of the 895, so most of your tips applicable to my boat. It was your vids that convinced us to buy a Merry Fisher. We were originally going for the 895, but we decided to go with the 1095 because of the dry head, and the third cabin. Please keep going with the vids, we love em.

      Many thanks indeed for your feedback Cameron P S :) We're really pleased you are finding them useful and LOVE the 1095. Yes they are similar as you describe and a fabbbbbbulous boat. I'm always popping a few berths along from us at our Neyland berth and looking at the 1095 that lives there :)) Perhaps Jeanneau will give us one for our brand promotion :)) More films planned and great fun doing them!!

    Just one thought for you to consider. It would have been great to have started with your passage plan on the chart plotter. Then it would have made it easier to understand the scenery shots. Just a thought. Looking forward to your next video and many thanks for all your time filming and editing it. Regards to you both.

    Lovely boat, great weather. Bit jealous. Been looking at the 795 for the family.
    FWI, the big fish you caught is a Scad or Horse Mackerel I'm sure, not a bass. The first one you identified as a bass was correct.
    Better than anything I've caught this year though!

    Great video, thank you. Your boat is superb, congrats. As former owners of Merry Fisher 795, do you think it would be sufficiently comfortable for similar weekend trips?

    • @PowerboatingAdventures
      @PowerboatingAdventures  3 роки тому

      Many thanks for your feedback Darijo. Yes we had slept overnight in our 795 and found that comfortable too. It has enough space easily for 2 plus food/cupboard storage and fridge space so could easily do that same trip we did with the 895. Good weather planning and lots of sunshine would make it even better!!! :))

    Nice video Bob - couple of questions - do you have a generator on board to keep the fridge etc running when moored up? Also - what do you do with the fish to keep them for latter eating and without making your boat stink like a trawler ? Cracking couple of days for you both though. Phil

    • @PowerboatingAdventures
      @PowerboatingAdventures  3 роки тому

      Hi Phil and many thanks for watching. We don’t have a generator so the boat is running on the 2 ‘house batteries’ when stationary and engines off. The third battery, the engines battery, charges those first two whilst running and our shore power lead keeps all batteries topped up when we’re berthed. You can periodically check the battery levels as inevitably they lose the ability to recharge - gradually over time. I’m not sure of the expected life of the house batteries - I’ll find out and let you know - good question!!
      For the fish I bought a sealable fish bag - this was it ….
      www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00MJ0NLW8/ref=cm_sw_r_oth_api_glt_fabc_WY08WQJYQ398F78DJ5A6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
      I also taught myself to fillet fish on a You Tube film or two so can put them in a Tupperware box in the fridge too once filleted - those click lock type boxes. The bag is great for whole fish 😁

    do you have the 300L gas tank? if so what max range could you go?

    • @PowerboatingAdventures
      @PowerboatingAdventures  3 місяці тому

      Thanks for watching and there are twin 300 litre tanks so the 600 litre total would of course depend on speed!! At 1000rpm speed would be about 6 knots and range 383 nautical miles whereas at the other end of the scale at say 6000 rpm the range drops to 148 nm’s burning 150 litres an hour of fuel!! A big variation!!

    Having not brought brand new before , do you need to get a survey ?

    • @PowerboatingAdventures
      @PowerboatingAdventures  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for your question 63melvyn and no you wouldn’t need a survey as the dealer/maker are supplying you with the manufacturer’s warranty which will cover any build issues that may come to light. Always worth a good look round to make sure doors and cupboards close properly, windows close properly, things are as you’d expect from a new product but the main structural issues are covered by your warranty, as are any minor defects that might come to light in your first months of ownership. Check the exact terms of that warranty with your dealer, take a thorough look through the boat before signing and ask a million questions of them if you’re unsure! 😁
      If you’re in the UK then Daniel Yeates at BHG marine in Lymington, is REALLY good at explaining the whole process and is super fast at answering any questions that may arise during the purchase process. Hope that helps ☀️👍

      Merci d'avoir regardé le film et ce voyage particulier a utilisé 256 litres d'essence, soit environ 2,6 litres par NM pour ce voyage.
      Pendant que nous avions le bateau Jeremy, nous avons parcouru 883 miles nautique en utilisant 2449 litres d'essence, ce qui équivaut à 2,77 litres par mile nautique pendant toute la durée où nous avons possédé le bateau.
