Duck hunting locations in Travis are rather limited. The water authority (Lower Colorado Water Authority or LCRA) does not permit hunting on Lake Travis or the majority of the Colorado River in the northwest part of Travis County. The city of Austin also has ordinances banning hunting and shooting along Lake Austin, Walter E. Long Lake, and portions of the Colorado within the city limits. The Colorado River is open to duck hunting on the east side of the county. We recommend that hunters remain east of the 130 toll road to avoid complications with various city ordinances. In addition to the Colorado River, hunters can obtain permission or leases from private landowners to hunt ducks on tanks/ponds/private lakes.
I was wondering because I live in Plano Texas in the suburban part and in my neighborhood there are tons of coyotes and I go for a walk and or a jog and also some nights. I ride my bike in the neighborhood and I see a coyote sometimes and there’s about six packs of them or not six packs I mean a pack of six and summer like gigantic but there’s tons of out there on scattered throughout the neighborhood and some can follow me sometimes like all the way back until I get home and they stay spaced out about 800 feet away or so but yeah, so if they were to attack me your start running at me do I have the right to protect myself with a knife?
I can't wait for Palo Pinto Mountains to open up!
Just observed the Black Skimmers at East End Lagoon Nature Preserve on Galveston Island. Sad to hear they are threatened.
Where can you duck hunt 20 minutes from Austin?

You definitely have the right to self defense if any animal attacks you.
