I have this same boat. I did the tank over originally had a 175 gallon tank. I put an aluminum 90 gallon. It's got a 97 mercury 225 efi. The old tank caused 2 fuel pumps to go and even fouled the injectors. Did 90 percent of the work myself. Your rig is definitely in nice shape! Enjoy it!
The 25 Mako was an offshore rocket. they have always made a good boat. if you don't mind low freeboard on smaller models. their self bailing transom is a real plus. overall they are good boats i.m.o.
@@dylanbefishing I had a Wellcraft V-20 - that's a Ray Hunt/Moppie/Bertram design - 40 was about top end but that deep vee could run hard in rough water - and stay dry because of the bow-flare. the only thing I didn't like was that it wasn't self-bailing. Mako's are fast sharks and the boats are too. There's less vee on some models as wanted inshore, by me anyway : ) The 25 was an offshore rocket but short of gas tank. Drums in the bow were not uncommon and fuel transfers at sea were necessary. Overall they are good boats to own imo. 🎣Catch "em up 🎣

Facts! I tell everyone I own a fishing/speed boat with the 225 etec I think she’ll hit 40mph on a calm day WOT gotta put her to the test one day.
