- Taiwan has decided to confront the military threat from China. Taiwan's National Ministry of Defence has issued a statement. It has announced it would shoot down rogue Chinese drones - if they fail to pay heed to warnings. Palki Sharma tells you more.

Technically that's not true. The problem is "unmanned drone" is a misused word. Most drones are remote controlled. Which means they ARE "manned". There are also Drones which are AI assisted and driven, which are TRUE unmanned aerial drones. Drones can also be programmed to follow a preset route, which would also make them "unmanned". Just saying the word, Drone, just makes more sense

American Companies have a $14 billion backlog of military hardware to be delivered to Taiwan.
Taiwan is wasting resources on developing technology like long range hypersonic missiles which is not pragmatic considering the huge difference between the military capabilities and resources of the two Chinas.
