It is 01/27/2020, I have been trying to make this dish for over 20 years! My in-laws are Navajo and Sioux and it is made all the time on the reservations. No matter what I did, it never came out right. Momma Joyce, THANK YOU! I have followed you for a few months now. Your fried chicken was the first recipe I tried. My grandson is a huge fried chicken fan and was in heaven when he saw the cooked pieces of chicken! We have a family member visiting us and my husband suggested I makegl goulosh. I looked and smile at him, telling him I have a recipe for it. I made 6 quarts of it and there is one serving left! Everyone loved it!! My husband said it was delicious, I told him "momma Joyce sure can cook!" and he agreed 😉👍❤. I haven't cooked every day in about 28 years. We now live out in the middle of the desert in Arizona, we don't even have a store in our little town! I am learning how to cook again and love watching you and learning from you. By the way, I love your smile and little giggle. You are a wonderful woman. Keep on cooking, I so enjoy watching you, and now, so does my husband!!

She made this dish as I was growing up and I've never made it. I don't know why because I loved it. She may have added some tomato paste to hers because I do remember it being in the sweet side unless she added a little sugar to it. I remember it almost tasting like a sloppy joe sauce. All I know is ,it was delicious. You sure are missed sweet Lady. See you on the other side🥰

Born and raised in west Virginia she made due with what she had. When you thought there was nothing to eat, she would make a glorious meal.
