your story is so inspiring, i´ve been a BIG FAN from a far (Chile) for years following you on IG and here, and collecting several pieces of gear and accesories via online.... until I finally had everything planned to go to London and had tickets for the 2020 show, but f-ing covid ruined my plans🤬.... last year had the chance to visit the LA venue during a layover stop from Hawaii and had a blast, nice atmosphere, great food and drinks, and of course great bikes to look at.... And to top it off my girlfriend even got me to pick my early birthday present from the racks 🤯😁!!! but still dreaming to go to the moto show someday!! Keep keeping authentic and inspiring for the riders and builders! Cheers from this corner of the world!
I have such fond memories of that first show, of how fresh and exciting it was, the complete antithesis of the bike shows I'd been to before then, in soulless exhibition centres on cold winter days with the obligatory girls draped on bikes - at least that's something thats changed for the better. And how young does everyone look, and how cheap everything seems going by those hand drawn price tags, and now I come to think of it, did we even pay to get in? There's times I hanker after that simplicity, before the same manufacturers got their claws too far into the scene. Ah well, I must be getting old. Roll on summer, Tobacco Dock and the next great Bike Shed Show.
