    Tip. For a single tile replacement use hot water rather than cold in a small amount of regular mortar mix and it works just like fast set mortar. Don't use this for more than that because it will dry too fast for anything else.

    #2 question was good. Sucks pushing people/work off but like you said you just got to say I’ll put you on the schedule. BUT I always think about the customers social circle. Example. Older couple on the big money side of town gets a higher priority than a young couple new to town.

    I did a clean up and remodel job on a gas station. Owner said there were dead rats. Seal holes and fix ac duct work. Ended up doing alot more than just that. Almost walked away from the job when I was in the attic. Removed section of duct work and was immediately covered in live and biting rats. Jumped up, took a nail to the head from the roof nails, fell through the ceiling. Dont worry, there soda machine broke my fall and it broke to pieces, along with me breaking the counter and a section of back wall falling out of the building from rotten wood, decaying sheetrock, and complete care from them piling up dirt all around the back of the building to patch the holes from the rats. Was not a great evening. To top it off, i patched myself up, was working in the bathroom at 4:30 that morning from a night full of a bloody head and a hell of a mess. I was working on the bathroom, waiting for the pest control guy to show up at 7 that morning and I hear a knock on the door. Its 5 sheriffs deputy's staring me down with guns drawn. Blood all over my clothes, rips and tears in my clothes, bandage on my leg, forehead, and arm from the fall. Unlocked the door, and had to explain very politely that I was working there. On the ground, in handcuffs, they searched the place and came back to me asking questions. My wife called them because I didn't come home that night and was working 60 miles from home in the middle of the woods. There was no cell reception, so none of my calls went through to let her know I was working late. They saw me and thought I killed someone. After the talk, we had a good laugh. They let me get back to work. And I ended up getting a nice bit of work out of the wall falling out and ceiling being destroyed.

      I'm just going to throw this out, every time they(our illustrious government) flood the economy with bailouts, stimulus checks, or some other kind of thing where they put more bills(paper money) into the market, it causes false inflation and oil will go up, like currently, OPEC has dropped their price per barrel, but we aren't seeing that at the pumps like we should, its because they have already started putting part of that 2 trillion into the economy thru what is called, "Flooding" it is going to keep our price at the pump inflated and I am looking for gold to go up again, Buy some oil now, if you can afford it, then, when you notice gold going up, SELL! SELL! SELL! and buy gold, if gold quadruples, sell it and buy silver, it will mean we all will be standing in the soup line and silver will start to go up, if we ever end up into a depression, like the crash of '29, if you have silver, you will be able to feed your family, because due to false inflation, silver will go up 100-300 %, this is how all of these elite and dynasty families have made their fortunes over time. I keep silver on hand, ounce coins .999 fine silver only, if it doesn't say it on the coin, it isn't .999 fine silver, or I buy bars, I will trade in the coins for a 10 ounce bar or 20 ounce etc.. Also, like the Handyman says, Blue Chip are where you need to be, or have a plan to get there, the penny stocks are fun to do, like a lot of things on these apps like Robinhood and eTrade and I also say, Get you a professional, if you have any amount of retirement, move if you don't like your current one, go with someone you can trust and build a personal relationship with, that person will break their back to keep your retirement when the proverbial crap hits the fan, rather than just say, "Oh well, that's life, you knew there were risk"

      HANDYMAN HEADQUARTERS no I think it’s underground and somewhere between the water meter at the street and the main shutoff in the laundry room of the house. I plan to change the main gate valve to a ball valve because the gate leaks within the system slightly.

    • @TheHandymanBusiness
      @TheHandymanBusiness  4 роки тому

      You can shut your water main off where it comes into the house. Then see if the meter is still spinning. You can shut the water off at the meter in your meter pit to change the main valve.

    • @TheSwampDaddy
      @TheSwampDaddy 4 роки тому

      The Handyman Business right, however when the house is isolated the meter indicates water usage. I think the leak is in the yard. I have some water in the street but no evidence that it came from my yard. No obvious leak on my property.
