These are pretty, they look as if they are quite expensive,no one would believe you had made them yourself, they are really effective,Bless you and thanks for another great tutorial.xx
I did enjoy your tutorial. A while back I picked up a clearance bag of those wood hearts not knowing what I would do with them. Just recently started making my own jewelry thanks to selfless people like you on you tube, and now you have given me the perfect project for the hearts. Thank you so much, kimberly queens, ny
kwall224 Awww! Thank you for your kind comment! I had a lot of fun making these. They weren't hard to make or expensive, but you do have to take your time doing them. Love and Blessings to you! :o)
You have a great attitude, sometimes your finger is the best way to apply somethings. 😂😊❤ I love those hearts and how they looked. I would have never guessed using those things for a project like this but man, this is really cool. 👍🏼
I really do admire your work. I love art. It is like therapy for me. I have gone through a tough time in life being single parent to my children and granddaughter. I really appreciate your time and your creativity. Thank you you're my inspiration. God bless you. ☮ & 💜
lovely and so do a bal for hobbyists who just want to craft for the love of it and friends as gifts thank you so much again your voice is so soothing and calming from Ruth in Telford Shropshire England
Happy Bird - I know it's been awhile since you made this video but I had an idea to combine another DIY I saw on UA-cam and make my own wire links(or bails) for these beautiful hearts and make a bracelet by linking them together. For smaller wrists the smaller hearts would work beautifully but if you are so inclined the large hearts would make a 'blingtastic' bracelet! Then you would have a complete set - bracelet, earrings, necklace and even a ring if you so desired. Other shapes might be fun too, tip a square on end and you have diamond shapes for example. Just a lovely and versatile design all around.
+Jeff Blatter Sweetie, I think your idea sounds absolutely lovely! Thank you so much for taking the time to post your ideas. I love it when I am able to inspire others to "think outside the box!" Love and blessings to you!
First of all let me say I am a new subscriber. I am really looking forward to watching a lot more of your videos. I can tell just by the thumbnails on your home page that I am in for a great and very crafty time. Thanks for putting your videos out here for people like myself that like to make crafts that are beautiful and interesting without spending a lot of money. Ok, on to the video! Happy New Year!
I enjoyed your Tutorial as usual! You have such a sweet and soft way of speaking, much like Mr.Rogers for adults! I noticed that the video was older and was wondering, since they now have Mudge Podge 3D, would that work on top of the pendants as well? Take care, God Bless! 🌹
I love Fire Mountain Gems - they are an Oregon Company after all - but some things - like the premade necklace cords are a bit less expensive at Beadaholique - sometimes. Fire Mountain does have a couple of pretty good sales each year that I try to keep an eye out for! And they seem to be the best (and least expensive) place to get polymer clays. Which I can't live with out.
can you please tell me if I can use any tacky glue and can I use triple thick. some things I get here in Australia are very expensive, you might pay 13dlrs for glitter and pay 100dlrs delivery, thats just an example....some are cheap, i have lots of glitter and different glues, love all the things on happybird, as soon as my computer goes on of a morning , the very first thing I check out is your page. congratulations for a great post. l;ove it. from Sydney NSW Australia
if for any reason you can't find glossy accents I'm thinking Mod Podge dimensional magic would also work for this particular project. Around our "neck of the woods" Mod Podge products are sometimes easier to find.
mand b Hobbycraft.... they are just too expensive. Ebay a lot of my stuff, but even they are not the cheapest sometimes. Spend too much time researching on tinternet... !!
Hi Jeanette, Yes, they still have it. I recently bought it at both Michael's and JoAnn's. It is called "Ranger Glossy Accents." Have the employee look it up on their stock sheet so they can tell you where it is. :)
Really good idea! Can you give anymore examples of what we can make with these wooden hearts or wooden pieces? I have so many I don't know what to do. TY!
You could make some bracelets, attach them to headbands, glue them on to hair bands, and decorate vases, with a ribbon with a heart in the center. You could also make rings or glue them to lamp shades. Basically, you can use them to decorate anything! You could even glue them to picture frames. I hope this helped! :)
You don't have to spend a lot of money on "martha Stewart" tinsel glitter, or "Recollections" tinsel glitter .... I got mine on Ebay, or if You look in the nail polish sections at Meijer, Kmart, etc., there are small bottles of 'nail glitter' that's the same stuff! and for less!
Oh yes! They should have it at Michael's. I do use a glitter by recollections called "champagne." It reminds me of a very, very light gold with a pinch of a rosy tone.
+lennie hilt Hi Lennie, regular Mod Podge is more like a white glue and the Glossy Accents is more of a clear resin. You can also use Paper Glaze or any other type of clear resin. Hope this helps!
OneVeryHappyBird I think she means the necklace from what you've made here. you said you'd leave a link to the finished product with chain, but didn't.
These are pretty, they look as if they are quite expensive,no one would believe you had made them yourself, they are really effective,Bless you and thanks for another great tutorial.xx
+Elaine White You are so welcome Sweetie! This is one of my older videos and I wish the lighting was better to show just how nice they came out.

I've shopped at Fire Mountain Gems for years. I always wait for their "big" sales. They have some really awesome things. :o)

You are so very welcome! :o)
You could also top them w/resin, and/or make Your own wire bails.
I was also wondering about resin , that would be beautiful!
how can you make wire
bails?
Brenda Sharp I just found a video titled DIY glue on bails. I was wondering the same thing.

Absolutely! Thank you Sweetie!
wish we had a Michaels in the UK - sounds like they sell everything !!
I know!! I think the same. Even Hobby craft doesn't sell have the stuff, and it's bleeding expensive too
mand b Hobbycraft.... they are just too expensive. Ebay a lot of my stuff, but even they are not the cheapest sometimes. Spend too much time researching on tinternet... !!
HA HA Me too! As we speak.........Then I get tired and give up, only to repeat the same searches tomorrow. Oh well, the joys of being creative eh?
mand b lol, I try and save some of my searches, but then forget I've done that and do the same as you !!!
I love the silver
+Rena Rouchon That was my favorite too! Thanks for watching Rena!
on everyhappybird where you but the glossy glue. Cups in Michel don't have and Joan either. I live that tecnica you use. Thank you for share.

Deberina Emelander Yes! Also, the kid’s section of Michael’s has glitter at a MUCH better price than the adult craft section.
It looks good but I want to know how to make this with cheap materials. Any cheap alternatives you would recommend?
Is Micheals in Australia please
I wonder, do they have the tinsel glitter in rose gold? Since that's the big trend right now.
Oh yes! They should have it at Michael's. I do use a glitter by recollections called "champagne." It reminds me of a very, very light gold with a pinch of a rosy tone.
Can u use diamond glaze instead of glossy accents?
Meg Brizzolara Hi Meg! I appreciate you watching my videos! Yes, you can most certainly use Diamond Glaze in place of Glossy Accents. :o)
can i use mod podge instead of glossy accents?

no link I could find for these finished pendants.
The video link?
OneVeryHappyBird I think she means the necklace from what you've made here. you said you'd leave a link to the finished product with chain, but didn't.
how to make them shine
A resin glaze, such as Glossy Accents, Diamond Glaze.
You should get some information on that paint being skin friendly
I got a very nice gold art deco pen at Wal-Mart for $3.95 which was four an change with tax.
aren't fingers wonderful tools?
I use my fingers more than actual tools. LOL
