Transparency is good on lures that stay high in the water column so the sun can shine through them. Great video keep it up.

Zach in the video you asked us the viewer if we can't see what you are doing on the painting. Here is a easy way to fix this, draw a circle just ruff hand then keep notes on size of that circle and how high your camera is from the lurebthen you will always know that us viewers can see. Just put that note near you pain area so that if you change your painting surface and use your camera for other thing you can fit everything back in place and also you know if the lure is in the circle we can see. Keep up the good work.

Hey mate just found your channel and catching uononnyoir vids now. In regards to your question. I can only vouch for saltwater but many baitfish are translucent in colour. I love translucent lures especially for surface fishing for our Australian whiting on topwater lures and anything in a prawn pattern translucent colour works the best. . I'm just learning as much as I can but I will be using a lot of the candy 2o colours to keep a translucent look. Your videos are nice and easy to watch cheers

Great video Draw a circle around your bait stand so you will have a area to keep it in the camera screen

I had better agree with the (fish )care about it being same pattern on both side because one of the first lures I painted was a craw had hand painted craw shell 6 on one side 7 on the other. 😂

Great painting, shading & color patterns! The more asymmetrical the pattern looks? The more natural the lure! Only the fisherman think of a symmetrical patter is correct! Matching truck & boat, matching rod & reel combo's etc. But if you ever looked down on fish being released you'll notoce that what looks symmetrical is really not! One side of the fish head is off centered compared to the other and also the pattern of the fish markings are not a mirrored image of one side to the other! Especially on redfish, speckled sea trout & flounder spot pattern to minick the mud & oystershell pattern they lie on to ambush their prey and the bigger the fish the bigger the difference! Asymmetrical is more of nature's way, symmetrical is man's interpretation of what he thinks he sees in nature! TMI I enjoy your work thanks Byrne

The color doesn’t matter it’s all in the action of the lure try fishing with a clear one with just eyes and clear coat
