여러분 나니아연대기 읽어보셨나요?
저는 14살에 처음 읽었는데 감동을 받아서 나니아 연대기 시리즈 중 새벽 출정호의 항해에 나오는 생쥐 '리피치프'라는 인물에 대해서 작곡을 해봤습니다.
리피치프는 태어날 때부터 자신이 갈망하는 것이 있는데요. 바로 소설 속에서 아슬란의 나라를 갈망합니다. 아슬란의 나라는 우리가 원하는 유토피아죠. 리피치프는 죽을 고비가 여러번 있었는데도 불구하고 계속해서 포기하지 않고 끝까지 견뎌내어 아슬란의 나라로 들어가는 과정을 표현보았습니다. 처음 맬로디는 리피치프가 역경 속에 있는 것을 표현하기 위해 굉장히 암울하고 어두운 느낌이 강하지만, 곡의 뒷부분을 들을수록 역경을 이겨내고 아슬란의 나라를 향해 달려가는 것을 아름답고 밝은 멜로디로 표현했습니다. 즐겁게 들어주세요~!

Have you read The Chronicles of Narnia? I first read it when I was 14, and I was deeply moved. Inspired by Reepicheep, the mouse from The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in the Narnia series, I decided to compose a piece about him.
From the moment Reepicheep is born, he longs for something - Aslan's Country, which represents the utopia we all desire. Despite facing numerous life-threatening challenges, he never gives up and endures until he finally reaches Aslan's Country.
I aimed to express his journey through my composition. The initial melody is very dark and somber to depict Reepicheep's struggles and adversities. However, as the piece progresses, the melody becomes brighter and more beautiful, representing his overcoming obstacles and his journey towards Aslan's Country.
