Hi there! Could anyone please tell me the name of the organ player performing this stunning version of the piece? Much obliged!

It says "Heribert Metzger at the Metzler Hauptorgel of the Dom in Salzburg" above

Very fine performance, yet the initial statement of the Chorale is very slow, contrary to the meaning of the text (JOYFULLY, not sadly, greeting the Lord Jesus, calling for allegro and grand jeux/tutti) that is always central for Bach, but sadly seldom so for today's performers. See at virtually baroque dot com on BWV 768. Very fine performance still.

It's understandable how with such a grave misunderstanding of the nature of the Christian faith as I wrote previously that the great majority of today's great cathedrals, especially those in Europe, are virtually empty of worshipers, mostly idle spectators. Man always prefers sad, pious, empty excuses for "worship" so long as he's in control and wants nothing to do with the joys of sovereign grace where God reigns. See desiringGoddotorg recapturing aspects of this lost grace that Bach knew.
