It's from Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. Geoff is a phenomenon. The group have more recently done The Dragonborn comes, from the game Skyrim, and We Don't Talk About Bruno, which is light and comical. They excel at anything they do.
This is still one of my very favorite of their work. It’s a virtual tapestry of sound. All those voices interweaving and supporting each other. It is one of the first of their truly epic pieces that they have done. Even if you are not a gamer you should check out the production of Dragonborn comes based on the elder scrolls games. They also released a very funny version of we don’t talk about Bruno.
What a great reaction! All your Voiceplay reactions have been amazing, and so fun to watch! I'm looking forward to what you think about 'Friends on the other side' by Voiceplay. I think you'll really enjoy it. For Geoff alone, 'Blackbird' is so pretty, and it's almost as if he was going to a job interview and they asked 'show us what you can do'... it's a really fun song to react to! Thank you for your last several reactions, I've really enjoyed them!
I adore them! The Dragonborn Comes and We Don't Talk About Bruno are their 2 newest amd they just keep getting better and better and better. Its insane how much talent they have (and theyre genuinely nice humans too)
Geoff Castelucci is the bass singer, he can pull notes from the depths of hell itself and has an astounding 5 octave range that takes him well into the top end of the baritone range. Check out some of his own stuff too, he has his own channel on UA-cam. He does all the vocals and harmonies himself and to get an idea of his real range, I would suggest listening to 'Blackbird'. My other personal favourites from him are 'Misty Mountains Cold' and his latest one 'Big John'. In Voiceplay, once he and the beatboxer, Layne Stein, get together, it's hard to remember that it's acapella, the drums and bass together sound so real.
You can't go wrong with a Voiceplay video! Thanks for a fun reaction. If you want to hear some amazing low notes in a fun video, try their Oogie Boogie (Nightmare Before Christmas) performance. Looking forward to the next one!
I am so grateful that I watched your reaction today. I had watched another reaction to this video yesterday where the reactors were like, "Yeah, lots of talent but I wish they would just sing instead of adding in all this unnecessary theatrics." The only time I don't like theatrics is when it's done only to cover up the fact that the singers actually can't sing very well, which is definitely not the case with Voiceplay. Very glad to see someone share my visceral reaction to not just the spectacular voices in this, but loves the fact that you're also vibing on how the camerawork and lighting are adding additional layers to the experience.
@@vvoof2601 I totally agree and I LOVE musical theater. One of my best friends is a guy who is just as nuts about musical theater as I am, and his wife doesn't understand it at all. All three of us went to see a touring production of West Side Story and honest to god, the wife kept laughing everytime anyone started singing or dancing, just seeing it as ridiculous for people to be expressing themselves that way. The guy was a coworker with me at the time, and one day when he was gone we were talking and someone said, "You know, we've always felt you are probably a much better fit for him personality-wise than (insert wife's name). "
If you wanna be blown away by some more of the vocal range of Geoff Castalucci, then you should check out their cover of Oogie Boogie song from Nightmare Before Christmas

Great reaction. This one brought a lot of reactors to their knees. It's an amazing performance of a stunning arrangement (Geoff did this one).
This is one of Geoffs best arrangements. Plays to everyones strength and power yet blends perfectly.

Thank you so much! Of course ❤️
One of my top 3 VP songs! Also check out their new one, We Don't Talk About Bruno from Encanto. It is another of my top 3.
I'd also recommend If I were a rich man/girl and The Greatest Showman Medley
What is number 1 ?
I’ve listened to this song a thousand (probably more, not exaggerating) times, and it’s still EPIC!

I’m glad you enjoyed it! The whole thing is amazing, I love that they add theatrics to their videos. They did such an amazing job
Voiceplay= Vocal Theatre. It would be weird if they didn't have theatrical elements.

This one is Geoff's arrangement. I keep saying #TheatreKidsOfACappella.
Great reaction,,you should check them out singing We Don't Talk About Bruno,,sooooo good : P
It’s already filmed for this week 🤫
I warrant many people got sore eyes (from them widening) and jaws (from them gaping open) due to this video.
The movie the song is from is part of a series called Pirates of the Caribbean. Made by an indie studio. 😉🐭
It's your British accent for me.👌🏽👌🏽🇬🇧
you should react to voice play "the oogie boogie song"
the bass is a circus freak for the lowness
So she finally woke up to Voice Play and Jeoff
😊😎
Please react to geoff castellucci Please
His version of 16 Tons always seems to induce great reactions.
