@@kansasstatealerting2874 I should have said I retired from BNSF with 43 years of service. I hired out on the Santa Fe on July 7, 1966. The Santa Fe merged with BN in 1995. It is nice to make life moments known in your past work, it also means to be proud of them and to keep the right recognition. Congratulations Mr. Mike!
Best wishes Mike. I trust you are enjoying the next chapter of your life. I can’t imagine you are “retired”. Thank you for giving us such a great insight into the work of railwaymen and women. A unique career.
Congratulations on your well earnt retirement Mike. Left the train driving caper after 20 years a bit over a year ago myself. Miss some parts of the job as well as the people but not the night work. Have joined a heritage railway not far from home and I'm looking forward to driving trains for fun.

I can tell you really enjoyed your job, It seems like the railroad job was the best suited for you and I'm sure you've had a great experience working for B & O and CSX. I live on the LCL Subdivision formerly the L & N, which is just south of Cincinnati and the B & O sub division. You further my desire to work for the railroad and getting to see your experience shows the job of a locomotive engineer in the first person.
