    Cute project! I love the continuous zipper method. I don't know of anywhere near me to get great colours of zipper by the metre but I will certainly check out my favourite store in Vancouver, Dress Sew Supply. They have an amazing selection of regular zippers and hopefully they will have the same in zipper by the metre. I love the fabrics you used and will check out your online store!! Thanks for the tutorial : ))

    Hello Gina! Thank you for the great tutorial. I want to make one with handles as you did on the London fabric bag. You mention that you cut the handle fabric 3 inches and fold as you did the other piece. My question is, what length for the handle/straps would you recommend/use for the bag you made? Thank you. I appreciate your feedback.

Also wondered what size zipper for the continuous zipper?( was that a Handbag zipper )?Thank-you ...... love your tutorials, they are concise and well explained. Enjoy your teaching style ! Linda

    I Really LOVE this case....
    I only have one request " and it's just a small request.
    I almost started to make this along with you but decided to watch it first & I'm so glad I did because I would have had to go back & redo it because you didn't say anything about the interfacing which I knew to add but I'm sure some people don't. If you could just instruct people to watch the entire video b4 they Sew!
    I made this last night & it came out Beautifully....

    If i were doing this with handles, well i am not an expert sewer but i would make another fabric trim (like the one used on the upper part of the zip) and sew it on the back to have the handles attached the same way on both sides 😊 i like kinda symmetrical things 😂

    Kind of confused with the main zipper if you had to use a normal zipper and not the kind you used?? I am not good with zippers as it is so did not understand how I would have to put a normal one in. :(

    • @dancediva9263
      @dancediva9263 6 років тому +2

      If you use a normal zipper you would not
      sew the side seams together at that point. You would lie zipper teeth down on main fabric RS up and place lining piece on top and stitch together .Fold back lining and repeat with other two pieces to other side of zip .press the two sides with lining inside and topstitch zip. Then follow tutorial for sewing bag up ( the difference is that you will have three sides to sew together instead of two). If you are not sure about the zip look for a zipped pouch tutorial and follow that at the zip point. Good Luck!
