Gyokko ain't trash, he strong as hell, the mark is just an insanely crazy power boost. Think back to when Muichiro and Gyokko first encountered one another, Muichiro got clapped immediately without the mark
But still feel like upper 6 gyutaro seem stronger the fact he take on Tengen. Tanjiro. Inosuke and Zenitsu is just crazy.
@@hyang108 Tengen ain't nothing compared to Muichiro.. he is just a Shinobi which is why he was able to hold back the poison.. nothing else makes him insane, just another Hashira. Muichiro is in a whole other level of speed and agility!

@@hyang108 The only reason Gyokko felt weaker was due to how strong Muichiro is. It goes to show the power scaling between Muichiro and everyone else in this show. Which is why Tengen said there were individuals much more powerful than himself. Gyutaro might've seemed stronger, but that's only because how weak in comparison everyone else was. Either that, or everyone in that fight was a terrible match up to Gyutaro. Take your pick.
@@SteveRX4477 I hold a very different opinion. I think Tengen’s shinobi training and insane experience advantage drastically overshadows pre-Mark Muichiro. However, Muichiro’s growth rate is way greater than Tengen’s and could eventually far surpass him. Also remember that Gyokko kinda bodied a fresh pre-mark Muichiro, while a lethally poisoned and one-handed Tengen was legitimately matching Gyutaro.
you guys forgot that muichiro was getting packed when he didnt have his mark yet. the mark made the fight turn in muichiros favor
I wouldn’t say allat. You need to bear in mind that Muichiro already got poisoned at the start of the fight protecting Kotetsu so going into it he was already nerfed and even then he was fast enough to land an attack on Gyokko before getting caught with a water prison off guard
Edit: I forgot to mention Muichiro’s sword was also worn out going into the fight
But it Was too quick, gyokko as a upper moon should give at least more 2 or 3 episodes of good fight, this fight was too quick im a little disapointed
@@itwasntoptional5114 The poison didn't fully affect Muichiro immediately it literally affected him after Gyokko was killed. And Gyokko clearly obviously let himself get attacked by Muichiro when he trapped him in the water prison he literally just stood there he was already easily dodging Muichiro's attacks he could've dodged that easily if he wanted. Gyokko didn't consider Muichiro a threat at all before Muichiro awakened his Mark

Even though the fight with gyokko was a lot less impressive than the gyutaro fight, it doesn't change the fact that gyokko is upper 5 and gyutaro was upper 6. The reason the fight was less impressive was because muichiro is just that guy,

gyokko's backstory was mention only in a databook
Managi, as he was known as while still human, was born and lived in a village at the edge of a coastline, the village known for its fishing. When he was young, his parents went out on a fishing trip and never returned, as they would end up drowning far out at sea. After some time, their mangled corpses washed up and appeared on the village's shore. Upon seeing his parent's bodies, Managi developed a grotesque fascination with corpses.
Villagers would often see him obsessing over fish carcasses he found, leading the entire community to ostracize him and keep their distance, believing Managi had gone insane. Eventually, a child found Managi and teased him for his unusual behaviour, leading Managi to kill the child and stuff the body in a pot used for fishing. When the child's parents discovered them dead and Managi had been responsible, they stabbed him with a pronged fishing spear and left him to die on the spot.
For twelve hours, Managi would barely stay alive as his wounds ebbed his life away, up until he was discovered by Muzan Kibutsuji and transformed into a demon
As a demon, Managi took on the demon name Gyokko. Since his near-death experience, Gyokko developed a strong hatred for all living things, embracing his new life a demon and worshipping Muzan
Muichiro was so angry he sent gyokko's backstory into a databook

I really missed Managi's backstory. I loved to get to know Gyutaro and Daki past, it added a whole other level to his motivations as a character.
Gyokko is OP af bro , everything he touches turn into fish and the transdermal poison and the vase teleporting ! He’s not trash at all , the only thing that held him back was getting complacent when he trapped muichiro in the water prison. If he had a killing mindset instead of art he would sweep everyone

Intelligence was the only thing holding him back. Bro would've wiped Tokito and ruined the sword being worked on right after which I'm pretty sure is going to be huge in the other fight. But yeah gyokko is insanely strong. Let him fight with the other demon and they'd at least kill someone else important.
Gyokko is trash. Attitude is DEFINITELY a part of one's strength. Attitude is also what makes Tanjiro who he is today. You cant take away attitude as if it isnt a part of him. Period.

Tengen is one of the weaker hashiras compared to muichiro because of his breathing form and overall talent, and it SEEMED like that, but i wouldn't make sense for gyutaro to be upper 6. Why would gyokko be higher ranked
@@KTheSlayer bro the strength alone wouldn’t make you stronger. Sometimes the more trickier you are the more powerful you are. His powers were so tricky. He could inject poison in a variety of way. The only reason Muichiro was able to escape water prison was because he got outside help. Upper 4 and Upper 5 have the most tricky and confusing power’s especially Upper 4. The fight ended quickly because Muichiro with mark was definitely more stronger than Gyokko. You have to keep in mind that the only reason Gyutaro was upper moon 6 is because of Daki. He didn’t want to climb up the ladders like others. He just wanted to be with his sister. So in a fight Gyokko would definitely struggle against Gyutaro and Daki especially in terms of power level. But Gyokko is faster than both Daki and Gyutaro.

Breathing techniques are techniques for different situations. The number does not mean anything. It's why zenitsu is so strong using just the first technique of thunder breathing and why you see characters go from their 6th technique to their 3rd or 2nd depending on what's happening
Agreed. Also Muichiro's Mist technique really felt like a counter for Managi's kit as he could not only clear his poisoning mist but also get invulnerable to his mellee attacks.
Usually an upper rank is worth 2 or 3 Hashiras but Muichiro is just built different genetically as well as The love Hashira. So next ep is Love vs Hate .

Gyokko isn’t trash. He literally was not taking it as seriously as he should. He was in his final form yeah but he wasn’t focusing. He let his emotions get in the way.
You also have to understand Mui is one of the most skilled of the bunch.

I was a little bit disappointed this fight didn't last longer, Gyokko really felt out of place for an upper moon. I guess they just wanted to showcase how strong Muichiro is.

Rengoku is the perfect representation of an Hashira, its just a shame the writer decided to kill him for the sake of the story and tanjiro development, He would be top 5 if he still alive and achieve the mark
He was the worst person to go up against someone like Akaza, which relied on close combat, precision and speed.
Rengoku’s death was necessary. The first real moment we get with a Hashira after their group introduction and he is instantly outclassed and killed. It really shows the viewer that this series isn’t afraid to kill off characters and it shows how far the main characters are from those who are on top. Rengoku dying without unlocking his mark makes him even more badass simply because he held Akaza in those final moments with sheer will power alone. And how his last words to Tanjiro are so impactful and inspiring. I’ve met countless fans that claim Rengoku as their fav character. Both Hashira and best overall !

they made gyokko seem so weak to show the power gap between tengen and muichiro. Since the demon muichiro was fighting is stronger than the demons Tengen was
other than muichiro having a mark, the reason why his fight was so anti-climatic was because the author of the manga had to rush it, who knows what we could've got when the author had a lot of time at her disposal.

I’m going to give Gyutaro the benefit of the doubt and say that he may or may not be stronger than Gyokko. You see, Mui got a power boost from that mark while Uzui was fighting with a missing eye and hand while resisting back poison. Plus Gyutaro gave up like 20% of his power to Daki when he gave her his eye. While Gyokko had like a dozen props to help him with defense and dodging attacks. Another way to think about it is if Gyutaro and Gyokko went head to head using pure combat and nothing holding him back then Gyutaro will clap him easily. The fandom loves to water Uzui down just cause it’s convenient for them, and pretend like Gyutaro wasn’t the most intimidating demon we’ve seen in an animated fight

I think not having enough scenes of him fighting without the mark is what fails to show how OP the mark is, otherwise the Upper 5 wouldn't have seemed as weak lol

Muichiro indeed slays in this fight. But the reason he dominated was through the awakening of his mark and Gyokko goofs around too much.
Before his mark awakening, if not for Kotetsu. Muichiro would have drown in the water prison pot.
Gyokko toyed around too much, if he is serious in his business. He should have killed Muichiro when he is stuck in the water prison pot. When he entered the shed, he could have killed Kanamori and Haganezuka easily but he didn’t.
So this defeat is all on him. He could have prevented it all and won.
Side note, Rengoku did good. His foe was an Upper 3. Considering no Mark awakening amp or power up, he did well. No one on the train besides him lost their lives.
Rengoku was just gone too soon.

Rengoku is nowhere near being weak, but I think that he was the worst person to go up against someone like Akaza. On the flip side I would love to see Uzui go head to head with Akaza. They both rely on close combat, plus Uzui has mad stamina and speed. It’s a pity they killed him off so fast.

Honestly, after Ufotable animated the Uzui vs Gutaro battle, I expected a little more in this episode.
I hate to be that person, still love the episode. but that’s what happens when expectations are high. STILL AMAZING! Can’t wait for the Hantengu battle
Episode was very good, but as a manga reader I would’ve loved for them to add extra fight scenes. But 10/10 episode 🔥

Ten Gen wasn’t a chosen 1 so by default he already had a hard time dealing with poison while muichiro didn’t feel the poison until after the battle it just shows the power chosens 1 have and yes I’m anime only

Gyokko isn’t trash, he is really strong, but it just shows how strong Tokito is + the Mark boosts all of his stats, he made light work of Gyokko cause of that

onestly I was disappointed with this upper 5, I feel like Gyutaro put up more of a fight since it took multiple demon slayers and hashira to take him out. He should've been upper 5 or 4 without daki imo, I know muichiro is strong but still was too easy.

Like Hantengu they tried decapitating all 4 emotions at once and he still hasn’t died yet, and Gyutaro and Daki they had decapitate simultaneously in order to end them. With Gyokko he honestly felt like another demon, not upper moon worthy

the key of muichiro winning is to show his strength with his mark and that he is a prodigy. We were giving these infos in ep2 (blood related to user of first breathing and such) & through flashback for a reason. And Gyokko is an uppermoon and he def isnt weak. Its just Muichiro made it look easy.
