Good question that would depend on your goal, typically when your talking about bulking you add two hundred calories a week until you reach your desired weight or size.
Ok gotcha if it’s happening with Dumbells it’s weak forearms focus on wrist curls to strengthen them. To stretch your wrist grab your fingers and gently pull back till you feel the forearm stretch. Get them a little stronger and I’m sure the pain will fade!!!

Normally I use cable for my overhead triceps. Had to use dumbell yesterday. Actually was irritating my wrists. Cables are easier on joints imo.

If a straight bar hurts your forearms when you supinate what can cause that pain? Under developed forearms?
Very good question yes weak forearms could be the issue or it could be a flexibility issue, work both until the pain subsides then get some!!!💪💪
