Two miscarriages in 7 months- first a pregnancy of unknown location later to be deemed a blighted ovum probable twin pregnancy and second vanishing twin pregnancy with remaining twin having a heartbeat that then stopped at 7 weeks. She had a triploidy of maternal origin. I am a midwife and it is beyond difficult to change my daily activities. I did fall pregnant on that medication protocol with a boy, yet lost him at 16 weeks due to a cord issue. :-( was so sad. However currently I’m holding my rainbow baby girl in my arms. She’s 14 weeks old 🌈💗
@@prachi6802 hi. I had an issue Called being a ‘dq alpha match’ it’s an immunological issue between my husband and I. I just had my rainbow baby girl. She’s 14 weeks old. She’s my 12th pregnancy! So because of my fertility issue it made my body essentially kill off the embryos at 5 weeks and I lost 8 at 5 weeks over a 4 year period. I also lost 2 boys late in the second trimester due to other reasons not related to our fertility issue. Bad luck I guess. 💗

This is mostly helpful. But for unique situations like I’ve had (a missed miscarriage) my baby passed away 4 weeks prior without any signs to me. I just don’t trust my body now :( I’m struggling!

I got to the end of 2023 and realized I had spent around 900 hours playing video games just to try and distract myself from the pain in my brain. Now I'm pregnant again with hopefully our miracle (untested) IVF baby and every day is torture trying to make it past 17 weeks, hoping we don't have chromosomal issues this time... Need to figure out a new video game to dive into. (Mass Effect trilogy was by far my favorite of last year.)

I love these tips! They make total sense to me! I was kinda doing #2 but my fav is #4. I noticed that this was exactly what I was doing with both miscarriages (only planning for the pregnant path) and this time around I’m going to try to force myself to think of the non-pregnant path. (Ie. If this pregnant path doesn’t work out, I can still go skiing, I have my sister-in-law’s wedding to look forward to, and more)
the cultivating 2 path tip is sooo helpful. Like you my grief works this way since get fixated on the pregnancy path and i forget the regular road. I am definitely going to try this tip.

I lost 3, no results from products of conception results so babies were healthy. I went folic acid free/only folate, all the additional supplements, progesterone, lovenox for #4, and stayed as calm and worry free as i could, and week 18 was working at home and began bleeding, and delivered a live baby in the ER 1.5 hours later. I did absolutely everything right, so many specialty appointments and pokes, and I still lost the baby. The fetal testing came back another completely healthy baby. It’s hard to be positive when things are going well and doctors say my miscarriage risk is so low and then I still suddenly lose them without answers other than something is wrong with my body, not the babies. For my next pregnancy if I can get pregnant I need to wear a mask and stay home as much as possible so I am not able to go anywhere I normally do or do my hobby either. I am now too old to think about the other things to put this off in my mind, this seems like a race for time and I won’t be happy without a live baby so I can’t see that way of thinking, it only looks bleak and done that other way actually.

These are absolutely great tips! I had a chemical pregnancy last month and a D and C at 10 weeks due to miscarriage last December. I found out Monday that I'm pregnant. Period is due Friday. It's Wednesday and I still haven't told my husband. Last month we were pregnant for 3 days. The day of my expected period the tests showed negative again. I've been a basket case today. So I'm going to try these tips and see if they help.

Finally pregnant again I'm currently 11wks and waiting on a first scan till I can actually believe its real. Lack of sympathy from hospital/doctors after 2 miscarriages is soul destroying. I'm sick with worry and anxiety wondering if I will get my scan picture like everyone else. Trying to stay positive till I get there but its so so hard. Omg this is me right now I'm pregnant again after a miscarriage and all I think about will I have a miscarriage again will I see blood? I'm 10dpo and found out I'm pregnant so I'm worried taking all pregnancy test to see how my lines progress I'm just stressed with this and want it out my mind. 😭
At the moment I cannot imagine getting pregnant and enjoying it ever again. These tips of 'distraction' and kind of denial is the only possible way BUT - my worry goes way beyond 12 weeks. The question is ...when do you accept you ARE pregnant and start preparing etc. I only expect bad things too...early miscarriage is the best option compared to other scenarios. Not sure how positive thinking changes the fact that baby can die on week 25, 37 or even after birth....HOW to live with those thoughts?

This video you shared is wonderful. I just got a positive pregnancy test after having a miscarriage. Im definitely going to try all these tricks to build confidence and trust in my body and to focus on the fullness of my life, so I don’t overly focus on the pregnancy alone.

This is mostly helpful. But for unique situations like I’ve had (a missed miscarriage) my baby passed away 4 weeks prior without any signs to me. I just don’t trust my body now :( I’m struggling!

I lost my first baby at 17 weeks.. and then had an ectopic pregnancy 5 months later... I got to the end of 2023 and realized I had spent around 900 hours playing video games just to try and distract myself from the pain in my brain. Now I'm pregnant again with hopefully our miracle (untested) IVF baby and every day is torture trying to make it past 17 weeks, hoping we don't have chromosomal issues this time... Need to figure out a new video game to dive into. (Mass Effect trilogy was by far my favorite of last year.)

I love these tips! They make total sense to me! I was kinda doing #2 but my fav is #4. I noticed that this was exactly what I was doing with both miscarriages (only planning for the pregnant path) and this time around I’m going to try to force myself to think of the non-pregnant path. (Ie. If this pregnant path doesn’t work out, I can still go skiing, I have my sister-in-law’s wedding to look forward to, and more)
the cultivating 2 path tip is sooo helpful. Like you my grief works this way since get fixated on the pregnancy path and i forget the regular road. I am definitely going to try this tip.

I lost 3, no results from products of conception results so babies were healthy. I went folic acid free/only folate, all the additional supplements, progesterone, lovenox for #4, and stayed as calm and worry free as i could, and week 18 was working at home and began bleeding, and delivered a live baby in the ER 1.5 hours later. I did absolutely everything right, so many specialty appointments and pokes, and I still lost the baby. The fetal testing came back another completely healthy baby. It’s hard to be positive when things are going well and doctors say my miscarriage risk is so low and then I still suddenly lose them without answers other than something is wrong with my body, not the babies. For my next pregnancy if I can get pregnant I need to wear a mask and stay home as much as possible so I am not able to go anywhere I normally do or do my hobby either. I am now too old to think about the other things to put this off in my mind, this seems like a race for time and I won’t be happy without a live baby so I can’t see that way of thinking, it only looks bleak and done that other way actually.

These are absolutely great tips! I had a chemical pregnancy last month and a D and C at 10 weeks due to miscarriage last December. I found out Monday that I'm pregnant. Period is due Friday. It's Wednesday and I still haven't told my husband. Last month we were pregnant for 3 days. The day of my expected period the tests showed negative again. I've been a basket case today. So I'm going to try these tips and see if they help.
As for filling my calendar...I've got a small family gathering today, a day trip to FL on Monday...a playdate for my daughter on Thursday....and I'll be adding more to my calendar as time goes by!!! Thank you

has anyone had brown discharge during the rainbow baby time? I'm pregnant again and currently 8weeks but occasionally I'm getting brown discharge and I'm freaking out every time. panicking. just saw it again brown discharge with a tiny brownish blobby thing. 😢😢😢is it normal for this to happen when trying again??😢 I had a private scan at 7weeks I saw on my flo app, but the scan showed I was actually 6weeks and 5days and there was even a beating heart😢. But I had a miscarriage t 9weeks last time and I'm so terrified with this as I'm almost 9 weeks again in a few days😢😢😢 what shall I do? get another scan done at 9weeks to see if the baby still alive?? has anyone else had brown discharge
Yes, I did have some. As long as it's not bright red spotting or bleeding it is probably okay, but always check with your Dr to ease your mind.

Finally pregnant again I'm currently 11wks and waiting on a first scan till I can actually believe its real. Lack of sympathy from hospital/doctors after 2 miscarriages is soul destroying. I'm sick with worry and anxiety wondering if I will get my scan picture like everyone else. Trying to stay positive till I get there but its so so hard. At the moment I cannot imagine getting pregnant and enjoying it ever again. These tips of 'distraction' and kind of denial is the only possible way BUT - my worry goes way beyond 12 weeks. The question is ...when do you accept you ARE pregnant and start preparing etc. I only expect bad things too...early miscarriage is the best option compared to other scenarios. Not sure how positive thinking changes the fact that baby can die on week 25, 37 or even after birth....HOW to live with those thoughts?
