I took my marriage vows in front of god and I meant them in sickness and in health I've been there for my husband . Everyone takes the easy road but I see marriage very seriously .
There are no perfect people or perfect situations. In a Christian marriage, CHRIST should be the center of it, leading both people moment by moment, in order to deal with the many trials & tribulations ahead...and there are many! This is a great teaching & I pray that more people see this & be encouraged by it.
My only problem with this teaching , is , my husband jumped me and held me down while trying to break my fingers screaming fo me to " take it back "!!! I only said .." You know I think ..."!!! It was just a couple of hours after our wedding !!! He says .years later ..that he thought I was going to agree with something his friend had just said about some stupid comment on a news show !!! His friend was going to live with us ...😶. Not my idea ...but ... That was the beggining of my hell !! He knew I had no were to go , and no " way " to get there , if I did !! No money , no place to go ..and no transportation .... That is a great way to have a " honeymoon "!!!
I wish my husband had taken the vows seriously. Please let me know what to do when you married a narcissist and are divorcing because of infidelity. My husband abused and neglected me for 24 years. He left me for a younger woman, but I still feel like I failed.
Kristi Abbott I wish you well and pray you find peace and healing. It’s not your fault, you didn’t fail. I lived the same life, married to a narcissist for 20+ years. Nearly cost me my life to break free from him. But it was worth EVERY ounce of peace that I have today. I knew that if I didn’t save myself, I’d never be able to save my kids. Similar situation right here as well. 30 years of never been loved , he married me because he thought I was unattractive and other men would not look at me. Never loved himself and “ love doesn’t exist, just use and abuse” he never told our son he loves him , just like him . I never thought he cheated never tried to investigate but it is possible that he did since we didn’t have sexual relations for over 8 years . After a year of peace since he has left, I’m learning to be myself and love myself for who I am . Life is becoming beautiful again. God sees our suffering and knows we had tried to keep our marriage together . Ask God for forgiveness and try to move on . Much love in the future. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
We’re all narcissists before we meet Jesus. My husband did same thing a few months ago but God told me to stand for Him and the vows I made to both He and my husband. I’m standing for my husbands soul. I’m dead and my life is hid in Christ. So pray for your husband he needs your prayers.
This guys represents why men avoid marriage AND church. Women obey your husbands has been replaced with Men obey your Holy Spirit wives? We’re seriously screwed when these tome-deaf geniuses are leading the church

We don't truly know what the vows mean till we are in the depth. The Lord gives us a grace to love that we are not capable of.
