In the history of Jamaica, Norman Manley was the true father of Jamaica. He deserved to be known as one of the national hero, as in my opinion alone, not all who became national heroes deserved that title. Norman Manley believed in Jamaica and fought for Jamaica. It's too sad that those after him, destroyed the island with violence, corruption, greed and injustice.
"Produced, written, and edited by Wenty Bowen": this documentary is a good example of Caribbean integration. Mr Bowen was a friend of my late mother and, if I'm not mistaken, he was Guyanese. He migrated to Jamaica, as did my mother, who was Trinidadian, and made his life there. I loved the documentary, but even more the idea of Caribbean peoples' willingness to celebrate each other's heroes. One Caribbean, one people.
This man i can is the only incorruptable leader jamaica had ever had. He is to jamaica, what thomas Jefferson is to america. A jamaican, in his own words who has a fixity of purpose with a strong sense of integrity.

I wish he had written the book. He would have laid out his heart deeply on issues I am sure would have given us insight.

Wenty Bowen, my father, was born in Barbados but lived most of his adult life in Jamaica. He did truly believe in the dream of Caribbean Integration.
