      Nice stylish tutorial, thank you for sharing! I use CTRL+B a lot for alignment of text underneath an image. Maybe also tackle the '+' sign when it appears in the paragraph styles list (how to override and apply)

    Amazing. Learnt new tricks. One trick that has always helped me is the Alt+shift+Ctl+C that fits a picture within a frame proportionally.

    Nicely presented. One comment though. Character style is really just for differentiating a style within a paragraph style. Paragraph style is the overall base style of a whole paragraph, and character style can change a single word or letter bold or different color overriding the base paragraph style. Your example can just be done in your nested paragraph style already.

    very helpful tips and love the way you layout the sheet, can you do a video explaining some of the concepts and workflow behind your competition design? how you pick them, time spends in each phase, etc. Also what font do you used for the title? much thanks!

    • @ArchiHacks
      @ArchiHacks  4 роки тому +1

      Yes of course! In fact, there's so much to cover on architectural competition, that I'm hoping to make a full course for that. Stay tuned for more!

    Hello!, so I am working on my portfolio for masters and I am using indesign, but I have a little problem. I exported the Indesign file to pdf to see what the final result would look like and I realised that all the diagrams (linked from adobe illustrator) having thin lines appeared to have a thicker line weight. I had to zoom in before the diagrams showed their proper thin line weights, what could have caused this and what can I do?. Thank you 🙏🏾

    • @ArchiHacks
      @ArchiHacks  4 роки тому

      Hey there, that's a great question! Most PDF readers have the option to 'enhance thin lines' option enabled by default, which renders vector lines in the same line weight. You can google how to turn them off, but it's difficult to rely on employers or admission committee to do that too. So instead, I recommend you export your art work to a raster format and use them to replace the vector illustrations in InDesign. Some tips on doing that is shown in this video ua-cam.com/video/Dx540uEQksE/v-deo.html at around 24:14 Let me know if that works for you!

    Very nice, well explained video, but are these tricks or just basic functions of indesign? Slightly misleading

    • @ArchiHacks
      @ArchiHacks  4 роки тому

      Hey, thanks for your comment! That's a good question. I'm not sure what would count as a trick that isn't a built in functionality 🤔 I guess I meant it to include functions that had most impact on my workflows. It's okay if you thought they were too basic! Haha
