Expert gardeners know that each plant takes specific things to help it grow and thrive. Our Father in Heaven knows that we need specific things to help us grow and thrive in our journey here on the earth. In his talk from the 2016 TOFW tour, John Bytheway shares a story he heard about what it takes to make a Venus fly trap grow and how that relates to us and our personal growth.

Why do so many of the mormon meetings feature men as speakers. Even the big conference meeting always has men as the keynote speaker, but the men's meeting never has females. I keep wondering why that is so would like to know. Are mormon women not listened to or thought to have knowledge?

I've been to Mormon women's meetings for about 35 years and I've heard plenty of women as keynote speakers. The upcoming TOFW meeting in Phoenix will feature 5 female speakers and 2 male. The schedule is here: tofw.com/event/phoenix-2016

It gives them an opportunity to serve. But just so you know women/ Gods daughters are loved and highly respected in the LDS church and give plenty of talks. You might want to look up LDS womens conference.

Bucky Dover I think u should see it the way most of us Latter Day Saint (Mormon) women see it, it’s not that we don’t get to speak- it’s that we don’t HAVE to speak. Same thing with the priesthood- it’s not a bummer at all that us L.D.S. women don’t get the priesthood, we don’t HAVE to have the priesthood. A woman simply needs be worthy to enter the temple. A man not only must be worthy to enter but, must hold the priesthood righteously in order to enter.

jill, that's all well and good. but you mention an ANOMALY. usually, it's a bunch of dumb bros mansplaining to women. because mormons are wildly misogynistic. don't bother arguing. you'll get stomped.
