@@dalebruno5201 Exactly, people are confusing opinions vs lies. If someone eats at a place and leaves a review saying the food is horrible is that a lie or their opinion?
Mel is not wrong. A lot of what made Larry King great is that he had guests on his show and just let them talk, and Shannon has a similar style. That's why basically everybody would go on his show. Yes, Larry King would ask follow-up questions, but he really did not hit people very hard in his interviews. He let them tell their stories, and he asked questions that were open-ended and led to other threads in the conversation. If you go back and look at Larry King interviews, you learned a lot about what those newsmakers and celebrities thought or felt because he was able to get them to give full and complete answers instead of politically correct or PR trained answers. Seriously, go back and look. I'm not saying the guests completely unraveled, but they definitely were more truthful when it came to Larry King than they were with other network news reporters.
Monique is right everyone dismissed her claims yet folks were crying holding hands over Taraji. I believe them both those gatekeepers don’t like being told what to do. We need to accept the elite do wrong too.
People dismissed Monique because she isn't nearly the level of comedian as Taraji is actress. No one thought she deserved money for Netflix. The stats show we were right. Taraji on the other hand smokes every role. so for her to have issues getting money is a big deal. Also... we don't like Monique because she annoying. We like Taraji because she friendly.
@@Jrfusion08 I agreed she was bugging regarding Netflix. I’m speaking towards Oprah & Tyler Perry blackballing her. They paid her pennies for Precious then wouldn’t pay her extra to promote the movie. Oprah was being cheap & bully. Monique was tripping about her special, even though Netflix settled to end the drama.

To Ish: Monique's point was the messenger shouldn't change the reception of the message, so why was there a difference between when she said it and when Taraji said it. So she actually wasn't trying to be decisive. To Joe: The money borrowing situation and the deal situation were 2 different situations that happened at 2 seperate times so you can't put both of those together and that's where you're wrong.
@@DracoSD268 we not selling dime bags around the corner. This is big money and the industry standard is don’t mention someone’s name to get your deal until the details of your partnership are worked out on paper with a lawyer present. Monique knows that. She’s just a drama seeking mofo with a smooth tongue
Because not everybody is equal that will never ever never ever change the more your worth the more or less can happen for and to you. It’s called reality
Just because something is common practice, doesn't mean it's right to do. If you give someone your word that you'll do something for them, you should see it through. And it's the same people that get upset when someone doesn't stick to their word, but do the same shit.
Joe's argument just confirms the fact that every person in the industry is a vulture of the other, and even though Kevin Hart gave the money as a fact of being 'nice', it doesn't mean that he was being good. I mean, we all know how nice people act. They'll extend their hand, in the pretense of being good to you when the very act of being nice is insincere, as they ride on the high of being said to be good. They do that by continually putting you in situations that will give them the opportunity of being 'nice' and keep being said to be good by people who either don't know the insincerity therein, or people who share the same character of being insincere. To put it in context, Joe presumes that Kevin's behavior towards Monique was in how he perceived her - not as a friend - the same way Joe behaved towards the other slaughterhouse members - who were not his friends - basically, the argument is a cycle of un-dealt with projections.
Tyler Perry did not lie on Monique. He gave his opinion on what it was like to work with her. Monique should have never told the story of not being able to work with Kevin Hart after he helped her. She didn't have to say anything at all. We don't know why he didn't work with her.
Mo obviously had a convo with Kevin about calling the Studio after he told her he was going to work with her. She told Kevin she was in the middle of a deal and that his name would boost it. Him not reaching back as a friend like he did when her loaned her money was a bad move. It all boils down to integrity and character. Never compromise your integrity for money. That’s the root problem with the entertainment industry. Joe kind of proved that he will choose money over integrity 🥴 not a good character trait to have
I totally understand a celebrity talking to someone and saying "yeah we should hang some time" or "lets work together in the future, we'll make it happen" the same way I'd say that to an old school buddy you have no intention on seeing again, just to be cordial and close the conversation on a good note. I agree with Joe on that one. And the fact that he actually gave her money in a time of need makes it even more messed up that she tried to drag that man. She does sound difficult, and while I'm sure there are racial issues with black women in Hollywood, Monique needs to take accountability for what she can control
tyler perry didnt lie to her . tyler perry said he had issues with her regarding the promo of precious. he also said if she was wrongs with money then he would sort it .
Ish left out she had to cover her flight hotel and accommodations to fly over seas for extended periods of time it wasn’t down the street big difference for a show for a few hrs.. HUGE difference and nothing difficult about her say no to doing that on her own dime and foul of them to EXPECT that from her smh
I don’t think Mel is getting ganged up on, I just think she has some very biased opinions especially when it comes to women. She has to almost be forced to admit that a woman did something wrong. That drives the guys crazy about her. What Monique did to Kevin Hart was disrespectful and backstabbing, and then Tonja e the nerve to go on the internet and talk about it. He gave her money when she needed it. I don’t get this take from Mel at all.
If Tyler doesn’t have to pay Monique for the money she lost because of him defaming him then all those ppl who have won defamation cases in court should give the money back. If she can prove in court that she lost jobs because of what he said…
He did not defame her, I swear people didn't hear that call. He tells her why he felt she was difficult to work with. everything she said this call does it didn't. Kevin said he called Tyler and Tyler said he's not revisiting this. Rightfully so after they recorded him. This convo is from 5 years ago.
Y'all conveniently left out that the studio/Tyler also wanted Monique to pay for the promo run herself. The comparison you gave was not apples to apples if Joe is paying. Sloppy work JBP. Lastly, Rosa Parks also gets the praise because she looked the part.
These guys are so tight about Shannon Sharpe doing so well. The guy won super bowls while these clowns were REGULAR Joes. Now he gets into podcasting and he is doing better than them.
I disagree with Joe’s perspective on this because this is what companies do. They make you feel like you need to work for free without any compensation for that later. If I sign a contract for something and you start to ask for lots of free labor, like Amazon did when I was a salaried manager there, at that point we need to renegotiate. If you ask me to sign for a job position, you can’t then operate outside of that with all these trainings or meetings on my off days without compensation. Because that’s not going to be calculated in my annual raise.
Mel was the most logical this segment 4sure. A international press run after being paid 50k on your Grammy winning performance is a slap in the face especially if she’s not compensated for the press run
Exactly! This is when gratitude comes into play. He did not have to do anything but he did, that was one of those moments you say to yourself, " At least he came through and helped me to this point" and move on. Not to throw them under the bus because they did not help you more.
This conversation was built on half truths and interpretation. Joe and the Crew left out the fact that Monique while speaking with Kevin Hart when he allegedly said he would call Tyler, came back and said Let’s start a new slate and Me and you do something together, and Mo said ok because I’m in talks with the company that wanted to do business with her about getting my talk Show back and Kevin then said good let them know we can do whatever and I’ll even Executive Produce. that changes Joe’s narrative of the story. Plus after his manager told them he didn’t want to have anything to do with her He said it was a Big Misunderstanding…You can’t leave out those details and argue she was wrong it painted a different narrative and that in itself is wrong.
As far as the contract issue, their example is totally off. They wanted her to go to another country for several weeks on a press run. Not 1 or 2 days or show up a few hours early. This is proof that it's the messenger!
The end of the clip is very important to understand the context of the issue with Kevin Hart. If she wants him to executive produce something for her due to her NEEDING help, it's not an open invitation to put his name in a conversation with other business executives without his knowledge. That woman thinks she has leverage that she doesn't have. Putting Kevin's name behind any business deal without his involvement is not the way to conduct business and exactly why Monique and people who think they're entitled to ANYTHING don't get it. Tyler Perry is not the reason she's currently being considered difficult to work with. She's proving it herself everytime she's discussing private business matters on social media. But I guess as long as she's gaslighting it as some sort of inequality issue, people who don't understand business think she's fighting for a cause other than herself.
Respectfully, I have no idea how your are coming to some of these conclusions based on the info that’s out or the logic you put forth. Her and Kevin spoke as peers / friends and I find it hard to believe that they wouldn’t have discussed or known about the value of his name being attached. Ironically, the “business” you claim people don’t understand have protections against both behaviors referenced - a promissory estoppel in this case. The inequality that she mentions has to do with the “leverage that she doesn’t have” and why people are so uncomfortable with asking why she isn’t afforded the same. Can you name a private business matter that has been exposed that doesn’t involve providing context or defense? “Don’t tell a lie about me and I won’t tell the truth about you.”
@@AdamEdn i can care less if you "find it hard to believe" they wouldn't have discussed her using his name as leverage. No one cares about your emotions on the matter. Contrary to what you're trying to lie about, there are no protections for Monique's false inequality claims. She's having difficulty getting work based on her attitude and the way she talks about other people's business. Has nothing to do with the nonsense she and people with your mentality claim.
Damn I must have read that whole recording wrong because I thought Monique was asking Tyler Perry to make a public statement recognizing he was wrong to say she was difficult to work with, it didn’t seem like it was about Tyler paying them
Not plain and simple when none of us know what really happened. I heard her once admit when agents call asking her availability her husband tells them that none of their dam business😂 this label comes with that attitude, that's pretty simple.
@@WRREKK how? That directly adds to being difficult. I don't think she was black balled, but when studios put these movies together, nobody wants to deal with a headache. Now add the husband agent into the mix and it becomes easy to deal with someone who's agent is disconnected. You can be more honest with an agent as far as, can you make sure your client behaves or telling them your doubts. Picture that convo with her husband. Monique's problem is not having a professional team, she's not big enough for people to want to deal with that. It's really obvious and simple.
His own mouth put him in that situation. Condoning lying to some you have a relationship to their face is despicable and only means Joe would do it without a second thought to the others sitting on the couch.
First of all, Monique and her husband recorded a conversation between them and Tyler Perry. Therefore, the questions were set up to make Tyler give in to a tiresome narrative .
What? 😂 maybe they recorded the convo because of prior experience of him doing the same? Why is it a tiresome narrative and how did they “make him” do anything?
Many of those guys including Joe really had no points over what Mo'nique said in the interview with Shannon but what I find offensive is how budden and his light skin host kept interrupting Melyssa, speaking over the top to flush her words. the bitterness in Joe voices really annoys me. It's clear that Joe and his friend have a problem with Mo, they didn't care about the facts they just preferred to be subjective but I think the real contention is that Mo, is very black and they are light skinned and Mo exposed that Taraji wasn't the first to speak out but Mo, did in greater details but she wasn't accepted so they don't like that the point is being raised proving that the black community easily accepts a message by a light skinned person more than a dark skinned person and guess what Joe is light skinned. That's why I hate some light skinned man is because of this rubbish. Hollywood embraces light skinned black people and doesn't like dark skinned black people and many light skinned guys have taken advantage of such tendencies because it favors them so for me to hear joe blocking Melyssa when she is telling her point of view is just down right disrespectful. As black people it shouldn't matter if a person is dark or light the treatment should be the same regardless of what other races think but I guess in this podcast it's clearly not he case what's funny is that they throw shades at Shannon's podcast at first when Melyssa was appreciating Shannon. what's funny is that their podcast doesn't compare to Shannon's completely. this is a common thing in the black community there is too much hate towards each other and little or no love. It's such as a shame.

@@typesor yes! I stopped watching it. It’s so disturbing to see grown men gang up on a woman.
Joe hating on Shannon is fucking hilarious

To Joe: The money borrowing situation and the deal situation were 2 different situations that happened at 2 seperate times so you can't put both of those together and that's where you're wrong.

100%
I don't see why she's mad at Kevin Hart at all. He did some gangster shit for her
Joe's argument just confirms the fact that every person in the industry is a vulture of the other, and even though Kevin Hart gave the money as a fact of being 'nice', it doesn't mean that he was being good.
Ice & Parks talking down to Mel will never sit right with me considering they bring nothing to the podcast
Agree
Poor melissa...
Tyler Perry did not lie on Monique. He gave his opinion on what it was like to work with her. Monique should have never told the story of not being able to work with Kevin Hart after he helped her. She didn't have to say anything at all. We don't know why he didn't work with her.
Ya'll need to do more interviews. Shut up Ish &Joe!😂
Joe kind of proved that he will choose money over integrity 🥴 not a good character trait to have
They not going to another country to promote for free. Big 🧢
Giving opinions on something you haven’t seen is really something
tyler perry didnt lie to her . tyler perry said he had issues with her regarding the promo of precious. he also said if she was wrongs with money then he would sort it .
She does need to be compensated! That's literally defamation! He is financially liable for any business she lost off his word.
Ish left out she had to cover her flight hotel and accommodations to fly over seas for extended periods of time it wasn’t down the street big difference for a show for a few hrs.. HUGE difference and nothing difficult about her say no to doing that on her own dime and foul of them to EXPECT that from her smh
Smh.. You can't ask fake 🥷🏾 if being fake is wrong. They'll always have excuses as to why it's right
I don’t think Mel is getting ganged up on, I just think she has some very biased opinions especially when it comes to women.
They need somebody like Jess Hilarious to weigh in.
They don't want a woman with strength that can articulate herself. All they have up there is Mel and sex workers
They tryna throw shade but it didn’t work cuz she ain’t understand 🤦🏾♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

They tried to backtrack quick Mel as they started hating big time. Stand on it. Club Shay Shay is doing great.
And then they insinuated Mel’s comment as a race issue comparison smh.
Mel need to go start her on podcast show at this point. She got the talent and looks to definitely pull it off!🤷🏾♂️

Joe coming off like one of those dudes who forgot where he came from.
Now he gets into podcasting and he is doing better than them.
it's a shame, instead of praising the brother you pull him down just because he is doing better than you.
They wanted her to take a trip and pay for it herself..their bugging .they should pay Everytime..these guys are filthy rich.
I agree w joe it’s like when you see a old friend at a bar and start planning to do something next week when you know damn well you’re not
Exactly! This is when gratitude comes into play. He did not have to do anything but he did, that was one of those moments you say to yourself, " At least he came through and helped me to this point" and move on. Not to throw them under the bus because they did not help you more.
Monique should have waited for the paperwork to come from Kevin Hart. People will say anything...
get it in writing.
Monique was never worth tens of millions of dollars 😏
Shannon started 2024 with beef. Instigating all kinds of madness 🤣
she didn’t say he was the new Larry King.. that’s hilarious.
Shannon is the new Arsenio Hall.
Where are the black advocates?!
They got jelly because Mel didn't compare "them" to Larry King.
As far as the contract issue, their example is totally off. They wanted her to go to another country for several weeks on a press run. Not 1 or 2 days or show up a few hours early. This is proof that it's the messenger!
The guys sound stupid about the Larry king thing, mfs sound jealous
Ion like Ford but they be nitpicking her
Leave Mel alone. Y’all gotta stop messing with her.
how the person that didnt watch have the most passion? Bro proving Moniques point
Joe you really changed my view and perspective on this matter.
Damn I must have read that whole recording wrong because I thought Monique was asking Tyler Perry to make a public statement recognizing he was wrong to say she was difficult to work with, it didn’t seem like it was about Tyler paying them
It's not fair to call it an "interpretation." They did Monique dirty, plain and simple.
Exactly
Not plain and simple when none of us know what really happened. I heard her once admit when agents call asking her availability her husband tells them that none of their dam business😂 this label comes with that attitude, that's pretty simple.
@@betbet5606
That's inconsequential to her being blackballed.

One day Mel is going to go off and leave the show. They constantly drag her even when she's just saying her opinion.
Joe wanted that compliment for himself
