Do you have NMO? Or MS?

The Rheal Unwind I asked because I have MS as well and was recently diagnosed. They had an eye doctor rule out NMO, which was a “type” of MS. He said my eyes were extremely healthy, even though my left eye was blurry. Since you mentioned they sent you to an eye doctor and they told you to go to the ER, I thought you may have had optical neuritis. One of the Dr.’s said that NMO is most common in people of African descent. I just asked to related more with you as a newly diagnosed AA woman.

Kandii_Girl5657 My first sign was fainting. MRI showed multiple lesions on my brain and spine. After that I lost the vision in my right eye (Optic Neuritis) that has improved, but now I have blurred vision and blind spots in my left eye. I have multiple MS symptoms currently and the weather doesn’t help at all!!!!!

The Rheal Unwind I understand the weather thing! I’m trying to figure that part out, but for me being cold is better than being hot. Lol, are you having joint aches with the cooler temperatures. Are you going to try to exercise? How’s your fatigue? It’s so much to figure out with this new diagnosis.

Kandii_Girl5657 The weather is horrible on my joints!! My hands and feet are ALWAYS cold!! I have a heat and cold intolerance. So I do best in the Spring and Fall. I’ve changed my eating habits, but I have not started to exercise 🤣!! I don’t have the energy to spell exercise!!! There’s a lot of info out there. You really won’t find much for AA, but the books help. I’m not sure if you listen to Podcasts but they have a couple on there. MS for Dummies is a really good book!!
