Omg! I admire your courage to do what I was waiting for permission to do with my jeans. Seeing you do this liberated me! Thank you for your creative spirit and for being such a beautiful inspiration ❤
The tapered pants hack you posted ages ago, is one I've done like three times now and I love the way the pants fit. Can't wait to try this. Also it's really cool that you found selvedge denim on your thrift haul. Selvedge Levis are no longer standard. I think they discontinued the selvedge when they shifted from US production. You can still buy more expensive Levis that have selvedge and were usually made with either Japanese denim or Cone Denim (a denim mill in North Carolina that closed a few years ago). Sorry for the info dump, vintage Levis thrift flipping is something I used to do to make extra cash.
😍😍love them, so super cute!!! I used to have that problem of my jeans being to big now its just the opposite.......would love to see how you would make jeans bigger. 💗💗
Orly.....perfect timing. I just went through my Jean stack and found my fave pair of ripped jeans. They are too big and I was thinking of doing exactly this! This was the push I needed. Also, just bought a similar sweater in Mexico City and I love the way you styled it. You rock girl! Thanks for sharing!
I just haven't been able to do them every week but I'm working really hard to get back to that. Trying to figure out a schedule I can actually commit to. Maybe once a month, every other week? I dont know. I'm trying!
Oh hell yeah!! This has to be one of my FAVES!!!!! Can't wait to share this on all my socials!!!! Another wonderful video, they are all great, but this one... somehow is a bigger winner. Maybe bcuz I think we all love jeans and this is straight up a winner for everyone. All your videos are winners, not sure why this one feels so extra amazing!!!! But thanks!! I love it!!
Happy New Year Orly hope 2023 is a fantastic year for everyone. Maybe two people one wearing & 1 pinning cos as you twist you distort the seams so can twist the legs & look weird. If you have one a jumper slope that helps the foot to rise up & over the thicker seams on jeans is a great help sewing the waistband
They came out really nice, so useful as many jeans do not fit properly. Could they be custom fitted even more by sitting in a hot bath tub of water to shrink exactly to shape?
I know the cardigan you're weak g isn't the focal of this video but I love! Details? Just an oversized cardigan and a broach? And love the jeans. I'm new to sewing and will definitely be trying this!
This turned out really cute on you. I guess first thing is that we need a thicker needle? Or will that make it harder for the needle to penetrate into the denim? This is an interesting concept on altering a pair of jeans to downsize. Thanks for sharing and blessings to you and all in the new year.
As usual I adore these upcycled jeans! I agree with others abt being liberated to do these projs. First step, steam rip the jeans! Lol Me, ummmm?! Omgosh! Just Do It!! Orly, you are a fashion icon. I wish I lived in CA where I'd see more of these trending vibes. Not so popular in the Midwest. Not that I'd be bashful @ all. I can be a trailblazer when it comes to fashion. ❤️ your channel. L
Interesting concept. It’s very similar to the “top down outside seam” method of sewing pants. I like to use a denim needle every time I sew with denim. Too many bent and broken needles otherwise.
This is so great! Any chance of doing the opposite? DIYing jeans that are now too small…Ideas for making jeans more comfortable when they have gotten a little too small.
hello very beautiful video please kindly film how to thread the sewing machine and how to wind the bobbin please kindly let me know OK?thank you very much 😊
I wish I could wear cute things with low cut and holes in my jeans. It's so cold. I'm actually drinking a hot cup of coffee hoping that I warm up.. I think I need a hat.. haha 😆 I miss Florida. Education is good up here though I got to say.. I'll take it for a little while longer. I need to go make a fire... That's nice. I will say that that is really nice. About the cold. Fire... Sure is pretty.
@@marypetrie3513 Oh my gosh that's so smart.. You know what I was looking at some booty leggings that were the same color.. But they have design on them. I do have some white pair. They're like cream. Oh smart. Oh thank you.. Little bit of fashion logic. Haha 😆
Did you delete my comment ??? I complimented you on an amazing project as usual and added a tip for sewing over the waistband. It showed up for about two minutes and disappeared! Did I offend you in some way?? Alrighty then. Evidently liking your projects is wrong for some reason. Unsubbed.
I *know* this was all about the jeans. But those RED BOOTS 😱😍
right!? I haven't worn them in forever but the slit int here jeans was just calling for it lol
Omg! I admire your courage to do what I was waiting for permission to do with my jeans. Seeing you do this liberated me! Thank you for your creative spirit and for being such a beautiful inspiration ❤
Ahhh so glad!! do it!
Such a brilliant and inventive way to tailor jeans! And you make it look so easy! You hit a home run again!
thank you! they were so much easier than I thought!
You never cease to amaze me. Nailed it again. ❤
Glad you got a nice vacation! Also congrats on launching the Style Language course and Rocknot! 🎉🎊🥂

Great idea!!
Same problem here: open the seam side, take a spare pair of jeans, cut a panel, insert, sew or glue maybe?

You find the best stuff at thrift stores! Can I ask where you go to find the jeans and skirts? I'm in Southern CA. I love all your videos😊
Spectacular as always, have the same success for your channel, greetings from Mexico City. FELICIDADES BELLA DAMA.

Love this! What did you use to to iron on a table top? Is that fabric?
It's a wool pressing mat.
The reverse by adding a strip of materiel to make the skinnies bigger would be great.
Gonna try that later.
This is so great! Any chance of doing the opposite? DIYing jeans that are now too small…Ideas for making jeans more comfortable when they have gotten a little too small.
I just lightened -up ! 💕
Im so glad!!
They are cute and look cute on You
I know, very creative!
Excited for this video after seeing your instagram story about it!
Did you lose the functionality of the front pockets since the seams folded inward?
nope! They're more narrow but I can still use them!
I Love this! any tips on how to soften the crotch of jeans when they are too big?
That blue is the color the fabric was when the jeans were made. They bleach and distress them once they are made. ;)
Cool 😃
Obsessed!
Ummmm….. holy friggin shi-!!!!!!!! The best literally, and Coolest ever. Seriously. OMG. I’m doing this ASAP

Fleece line leggings that match your skin tone under them if you are comfortable with layering.
