You are the best lawman in the west. Stop. Crying is getting out of control in the east. Stop. Please help us. Stop. Probably the best set of lines I've heard from a cartoon in my entire life.
@@thecraplordsell4575yes true. Since at least 2000 the flooded both cable and network with reality TV. TLC, Bravo, MTV,L. And more. The beginning of the end was over 20 years ago.

Pov: You're at your grandparents' house. You're sitting on the floor watching boomerang, and this comes up for some reason. You have no idea what anyone is saying and don't understand what anyone is doing. Then, a decade and a half later, you find the same video and now have the Brain power of an intellectual. Watching it again, it feels different for some reason.
I've watched this since I was 5 or 7. Back then, I didn't quite understand the dialogue obviously cause I'm still small that time. Now, getting to see and hear this again now I get it and boy what a nostalgia rush.
That was an quite interesting touch they did with Quick Draw and Baba Louie in terms of the designs, with making them look more like realistic horses as compared to their cartoony appearances in the original 1959 series. And yeah, even as a kid i knew this was done by Mo Willems because there was no mistaking that same distinctive animation style from The Off-Beats and Sheep in the Big City.
I think Phil Vischer did the voices for both Quick Draw McGraw and Baba Looey in this. Quick Draw sounds like Mr. Nezzer and Baba sounds like Mr. Lunt both from VeggieTales.
Very fitting since he now protects a city(Jellystone) from crime while dressed in black(Black Is Very Trendy!),CN really hired Mo Williems to do this little Quick Draw McGraw short before creating Sheep In The Big City and working as a writer on Codename:Kids Next Door.
"Black is very trendy!" That's my favorite part. The only complaint I have about this is Baba Looey's voice. I realize that the voice isn't going to be an exact match, but I think it needs a little work.
I know I’m 2 years late to reply, but you should see that Pixie Dixie and Mr. Jinks short. For the most part, they sound virtually nothing like their original 1958 counterparts.
It's so bizarre that all of these Boomerang promos/shorts that I saw them SO MANY TIMES and loved them SO MUCH that I remember every sound effect in my head.
Gotta love the meta narrative of these Shorties from the 90s. 30 years after these old cartoons aired and their tropes are fully recognized and joked about. XD
Holy shit I’ve forgotten all about this short. I remember this being my favorite of them all. My brother and I would know some of the lines from the commercial. Hot damn, the nostalgia is strong with this one

EJ Elec Flame Tails No, it's in the east. It is actually as far east as possible, as it is literally on the east coast of the U.S.

so much stuff I didn't notice when I was little XD

Loved this short as a child. I watched them on the old bommerang.
Stephen Flore R.I.P old boomerang you will be missed TeenTitans HeMan QuickDraw McGraw and Huckleberry Hound
RIP old Boomerang but they should bring this back
“Black is very trendy!” Makes sense, he still wears black while protecting Jellystone from crime.

I always loved how it says there's a problem in the east and he walks west.
Considering Hanna-Barbera's style of limited animation, this is EXACTLY the kind of stuff they'd create!
The way the people are drawn reminds me of Sheep in the Big City.
Mo Willems directed this so the resemblance is obvious.
