Just got home from a soggy, epic trail run with the local RC crawler group. It was in the forest area around Mt St. Helens so it was a mix of thick moss, mud, and lava rock. Our team made it 60 gates of the 140 before our teammate's radio got water logged and went haywire 😁. We hit the course in teams of 3 so I drove my C1 build, my wife drove my Sendero, and a new friend drove his 4WS class 3 rig. It was run what you brung (brought 😂) and bragging rights if you survived. His radio tapped out before we did but we decided to call it too (rain jackets were working but everything else became soaked through). This was a fun first vid to watch as my LiPo's storage charge and I warm back up. Kudos to you for some smooth driving and drifting there! Very impressive to hold that drift around the island and also impressed to see how well that Kyosho held up to the fun 👍.

Oh man, thanks for that little story, Andy! Super inspiring to try to replicate that kind of event locally. Wow, I love the sound of it! (I still worry about insurance and holding an event, so I'm building toward RC-TNT managing that as a company rather than as a club - just gotta build this thing up some more and then the local public benefit can be unleashed. I'm super keen).
Anyway, your epic trail run sounds, well, epic. So glad you got out there with your wife, too - that's pretty excellent. And also that you're making new friends as you go, that's just what it's all about.
And lastly, thanks for your comments on this video. It was a fun bash session with just a shade of 'work' thrown in - to make the video. The cars are really great, they're really smooth and the tires are perfect for general use. Motor and gearing is superbly matched to their intended purpose, I think. Just all-round great cars. Cheers :)

@@RCTNT That would be an amazing next step 🙌. I imagine rules around gatherings are more relaxed here, or we flew under someone's radar here re: event insurance. The group organizer had enough sponsors donate things that he didn't need to charge a signup fee. I have seen groups north getting shut down when the county's parks department got wind of how large their events had become. There's a lot of people here in both the mountain biking and RC crawler community (rightfully) encouraging people to leave spaces as they were found (or better) so we don't lose access for future fun

Great insight into these little monsters. Looking at getting one myself (the Datzun 240z body) and researching to find out what I'll need to tweak and repair.
Love the way these things sound even on stock motor out of the box.
    This is quite helpful.
    Cheers!

could you make a video series on your tools, setup, car storage
since you have a lot of rc it woulds be interesting to see how you manage everything
it could maybe give some ideas on how we could do things

Nice mix up with the cars! When I first got into RC I only had crawlers & my take on any Fast RC’s was I’ll just break it. Now I have 4 Fast RC’s including the Arrma Fireteam & Losi Lasernut which by the way is way faster then I thought especially for a rock racer buggy. Thanks for sharing I’ve been eying the Chevy Truck & the El Camino for awhile now.

Nice wide open skate park to run those. Probably the smoothest surface you'll find out there. Both of those shells look great, but the El Camino pick up style does it for me!! Only just!! 😀
Somewhere, hidden in my shed, I have a Ninco4rc 4wd Renault Megane, with a brushless conversion!! I'll have to try that at my local skate park, if the kids will get off it long enough. 😎👍🏻

The Hellcat is a great looking body and I'd love to own one but unfortunately I just don't really have anywhere decent to run it properly. It would be nice if Kyosho engineered a hidden body mounting system for their Fazer cars as well.
