Why THIS is the Inside Cabin You Should Book on Royal's Oasis Class Ships - Filmed on Symphony

- The Oasis class of cruise ships from Royal Caribbean offer a huge amount of cabins in many different cabin categories. Typically, and inside cabin or an inside facing cabin is deep in the ship and far away from fresh air and sunlight... but there are some exceptions! I found them on the Symphony of the Seas, but this goes also for the Oasis, Allure, Harmony, and Wonder of the Seas. #royalcaribbean #cruiseship #tips

I booked on the Icon in a room with a window overlooking Central Park.
Great tip
Thanks for that tip Morgan ! We are definitely budget travellers so this sounds like a fantastic extra benefit especially somewhere that’s quiet .
Great tip, those last 8 you found with the windows are fantastic for us; as we would be travelling with our dog and having a really short walk to the dog area and the outdoor space will be a big plus.
Yes! Perfect!
just booked 2 of these cabins at the back of deck 7 ❤ Thanks so much Morgan - love your content
Wonder room finds! Thank you!
Great advice!!! Thanks
Great info thanks
Great information. Thank you for sharing :)
Bonus!
I'm curious how full the ship was... it looks like it wouldn't be difficult to get a table at all! That's one of my main concerns with the megaships.
We set a world-record for being the MOST people on a passenger ship crossing the Atlantic so.... full! :-P
Amazingly helpful!!!Thank you
I stayed in cabin 8671 on Harmony in November and December 2021. Looooved it. I was just a few steps away from Central Park and often went there to fill my water bottle first thing in the am (using 2 filled tumblers - don't fill you water bottle directly from the water machine) at Park Cafe. Very close to elevators (which can also be noisy - but I don't mind, I have ear plugs. )The only draw back was that my cabin backed on to Dazzles and music could be loud but not too late. If a quiet cabin is very important to you though, I would not recommend cabin 8671.
Thanks for letting us all know about the music. A few people have asked about it already!
I was going to say the same caution about Dazzles
Look at you, Virgin and Viking ads😊
Don’t think I fancy the cabin beside the kids area 🫣
They don't open early and they close at 10 unless a few parents pay extra for sitter fees. Then, lots of the kids fall asleep and they are running a quiet movie for the rest.
You sound like this cruise was too long for you and had too many little people ( kids) . Is this a first transatlantic for you ?
It was our second transatlantic and yes, there were a lot of kids on this sailing! Not very typical for transatlantic cruises, I think.
@@VeryunOfficialTravelGuides Some private schools have the month of May off. They go the last 1/2 of Jan, all Feb, Mar & Apr with a week off for Passover&Easter whenever they fall, May & June off, 1st-1/2 July off with 2nd-1/2 of Jul & all of Aug online (like college 6-week summer sessions), 1st-1/2 Sept off, go all of Oct, Nov 1 week off for Thanksgiving, go 1st-1/2 Dec. Their days are longer and allow for extra time off. They have online classes when not in school for part of the time so they actually attend far more days than the kids at public or even most other charter and private schools. Most of the kids have travel journals/projects they return to school with. It is odd. I have met many families on ships like that. There are a few that we actually plan and meet up with since 2016.
We had one child on our last and that was the captains daughter . My next is the same two weeks in end October/ November so hopefully the same.
Uh, it would be so loud in those window cabins. It was so loud inside our boardwalk balcony room.
Sorry, man, I'm underwhelmed. Still, I must admit that I had not previously appreciated the doggie-poop area. Alas,, I still don't.
A lot better than on the bottom of a cardboard box covered with a plastic bag and lined with old newspapers. I don't know about you but there is no way my Golden would go on that. Royal has a great idea. I would not want pee and poo all over the ship!
If I ever book one of those ships, I may consider opting for one of those rooms if it means I can take a longer trip. I'm spoiled by balconies after only one time already, but this might help me a bit with the reality of my savings as a solo cruiser!
Missed opportunity by the ship designers. Those cabins with the big round windows should have had windows that can open. That would make the room a far better draw as people could at least get some fresh air. Yes it would be noisy with the window open but there is really no reason they couldn't be windows that open (they would need to do something with that rugrat climbing net though).
Probably sealed to help with noise from the public areas we had a Central Park balcony it was pretty loud in the afternoons and early evening
@@dcoslet1 If I had those cabins I would rather have the option of opening the window and dealing with the noise.
Just wondering about the noise as Dazzle’s is mentioned above, and I imagine the boardwalk right outside your window might also be noisy. Thanks for the great info!
Someone here mentioned that she stayed in those cabins on deck 8 and that she did hear the music. Not the best cabins if you are a "go to bed early and need absolute quiet" kind of person :-P
Thank you for highlighting these cabins. I have cruised on Oasis class ships many times but I didn't realize that there are these interior cabins with such a great location. I love a balcony but lately with cruise pricing being much higher I think these are great options.
Thank you I noted those cabins you mentioned. I now have limited mobility and they looked like a good choice for me to be central on that class of ship, enough to enjoy.. Great hacks . Keep them coming .
How much (average $$$ vs other inside cabin) do these cabins cost? What % do you save ?
Hi, I was wondering too. I just checked a Sept NY sailing I was looking at before seeing this hack from Morgan (Thank you Morgan). Reg IS $789/pp, Central Park View IS $869/pp, and the Promenade view cabins $880/pp.
I just grabbed one for us!
This was very helpful info. Thanks!
Oh wow - what an amazing find - I just got off Symphony, and did think that some cabins must be SO FAR AWAY from the outside, but this one is incredible!
Awesome find! We were on Symphony in October and I love Central Park! Those rooms are awesome. Will look for those rooms in the future! 😊
Cruise with Ben and David discussed in a recent video about the lack of sea views on the ship. Did you find that to be the case? I am looking at the Boardwalk and Royal Promenade on your video I am feeling like it seems more like Vegas than being on a cruise ship. Just not sure if this type of ship is for me. We went on Serenade many, many years ago and loved the "traditional" ship feel of this class of ship.
Honestly, I didn't pay attention to exactly how many sea view or balcony cabins there were, but I just looked it up on cruise mapper and they say there are 176. Is that not normal compared to other ships? I have no idea. For me, I would say having like, TEN sea view cabins would be a lack of sea view cabins. 176 sounds normal to me. Regardless, if you want the traditional feeling, a smaller ship is probably better for you! :-P
After sailing on Symphony, the inside balconies facing the boardwalk/central park are very exposed. A simple fix would to have the glass on the balcony frosted or solid while glass, it would greatly improve privacy.
That was super great info.
Thx!
Oooooh those hidden ‘balconies’ looked like the perfect spot to be antisocial and get some great reading time in. They’d def be my idea of heaven.
I've never been on a cruise. Since following Emma I'm seriously considering it. She commented on your fb post which led me here. Great info. New subscriber!
This was a very informative video. Thanks.
Definition of "Dungeon ".... Room with no windows.
Mind blown! I have been on 5 Oasis cruises, and the balcony area was a new space to me! I have yet to rock climb, so that might contribute, but this is a great hack!
Nice informative that we "should" have known since we've cruise multiple times in Oasis! Didn't know there were rooms abovevthe kiddie place where the port hole are. Great information!!
Excellent information thank you for taking the time to check all this out and making the video x
Thanks for the tips about these cabins. I just love these types of tips!!! 👍🏼👍🏼
Wow thanks Morgan .. wish I would have known these cabins configurations before booking a balcony.. will save this info for next oasis sailing , although I do prefer smaller ships 🥰🇨🇦🥰
I’ve been wondering if there were any doors to the aft area so this is great! Thanks for the detail! 9 days to my Harmony cruise 🎉
I stayed in 7680 on Symphony in February.
The cabins on deck 8 are next to dazzles. I would think those would be noisy especially at night when the band is playing.
Just booked cabin #7677 for a cruise next year. Thanks for the great advice.
That is really cool
I imagine these locations might be noisy, though.
Terrific find! Thank you…..
Looooveeee the tips! Thanks!! 😃
This is super helpful content. Thank you!
A cabin above a bar might be a bit loud.
Great video! I have been wondering if you could access the rooms from the back of the boardwalk. Walking down the hallways always feels so much longer than strolling the boardwalk. I’m sure future me will be staying in an aft room on deck 7.
I literally just booked 8675 on Symphony. It was the last cabin on aft deck 8. Woohoooo!
Brilliant Morgan, Great to know thank you 🙏🏼
Thanks Morgan, We will need to check these cabins out on our next Oasis class cruise.
Would rather deal with the kids side than be above the bar.
Love this video!! Thanks for the info!!
Thanks for making a video with such a useful tip! I've walked up to that "comon balcony" area to have a view but don't remember seeing the chairs around the side. One of these cabins would be a good choice for me when going solo. Balcony cabins seem to be priced 50% more than before. I'll be trying a virtual balcony for the first time on Odyssey this fall. Anyone who has stayed in one have opinions on how you liked that style?
My husband and I stayed in a virtual balcony cabin on either the Harmony or Symphony (can't remember which because we also stayed in a central park view cabin on one). We loved it and would do it again. The biggest thing was being able to tell what time of day it was (unlike in a regualr interior cabin) and having "natural" light.
@@whitneyjennings3642 Thanks, good to hear. Hoping there are no issues with the video screen. We also did cental park balcony.
Wow they sound awesome ❤❤ I hope one day to live my dream and cruise on an oasis class ship :) i absolutely love the look of central park onboard, it just wows me :) ❤❤ totally shattered that Australia does not have any plan to bring the oasis class here, i think it has to do with the size and the fact that our ports here are too small to have such large ships in Port, but we do have both quantam of the seas and ovation of the seas which both come here in the summer months, were actually cruising on quantum in march next year, it will be our first time on royal, were very excited 😅😅😅
Is it loud? Going to have a napping baby
You said you go out the door but not when Hiro is on. Do they stop you from going out there then?
THis is invaluable....thank you so much, just switched my window on Central Park and saved 300$
I'm so glad I could help you!
Morgan, when the Oasis and the Allure ships were first built, there was no such thing as the Aqua Suites. These were wide open balcony type spaces, available to anyone, at the end of each hallway where the Boardwalk balcony rooms were located. We spent an anniversary on one of those watching a lunar eclipse. Such a cool place to see it. We were very disappointed when Royal decided to make those areas a premium pay for Aqua Suite cabins on each deck. This is awesome info about inside cabins.
Oh wow. I didn't know that!
Actually.. there were SOME Aqua Suites depending on the deck, but not all decks. My first cruise in 2013 was on the Allure. We were on deck 12 starboard side 3 cabins from the very back in a Boardwalk Balcony. There was a door at the end of the hall with a huge public "secret" balcony that wrapped all the way around. Hardly anyone knew about these and we spent most of our cruise there. It was incredible. Also there was no Ultimate Abyss slide to block the view of the ocean from our balcony. Then, RCI got greedy and decided they could make more money by eliminating the end public balconies and turning them into suites in dry dock. I'm still really sad about it.
Is that Ben and David Cruises at 1:01?
Damn it you let the cat out of the bag now. These will now be the first inside cabins booked every cruise
Thank you for the great info❤
Great tips! Thanks!
Is that secret balcony on deck 7 also on the Wonder Of the Seas?
I can't confirm it, but I think so!
I rather an inside cabin for privacy and quiet. I did wonder about these though. thx for filming the hidden nooks
Thanks for this video! I'm staying in a central park view inside cabin in December!!
I have to imagine those inside with a window cabins on the boardwalk have to be noisy. Your right above Johnny Rockets (always with music playing) or above Playmakers Sports Bar. I would spend my money on a cabin somewhere else.
This video was very helpful! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you for the great video. Do they have similar rooms on The Wonder of the Seas ? I am planning a cruise on that ship. Keep up the great work.
I was on Symphony last month and was on an inside cabin with a view to the Central Park. It was great! really loved it!
I’m really glad you shared this information! We always stay in inside cabins for budget reasons and would love something like those!
That was great information about the inside cabins with nice perks
Bought your book Morgan. Enjoyed reading it on a rainy day at home. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Thank you so much for the support! I hope it puts a smile on your face!
This is a great video! Definitely saving it for my next oasis class to book
I literally just booked utopia and the last cabin on deck 7 was 277 Got it! Yay lol I knew this video would come in handy!
I thought you can't bring pets on ships????
Service animals. Always a few on any ship. Some are for the blind, some for folks with seizures, some our service Vets with PTSD and other needs. Great that they have a good plan for them on Royal. One ship on another line, has someone that takes the dogs to deck 2 and "walks" them back to their cabin 2 times a day. The guest is responsible for other times or they can "pay/tip" for additional visits.
Thank you!! Great info! Will definitely do when I can finally book an Oasis Class cruise. Been on a couple Quantums and loved them. 🛟⚓️
Dogs are allowed on Royal? I thought only on Cunard and only in the kennels.
I think it's only service dogs, but you'll have to check with Royal to be sure!
@@VeryunOfficialTravelGuides Oh...that makes sense
