after their conversation on the field, i like to imagine their parents ask sae "your brother seems upset did you fight" and he probably said "ya but we fought like that all the time. he'll be over it by tommorrow"
This is funny because in an interview the author confirmed that Sae does not think he's on bad terms with Rin. That winter night, for Sae it was just a little heated argument between brothers, but for Rin it was a whole ass canon event
@@betabishop3144 sae :meh, it was just a regular brother's fight. rin: it was a CENTRAL PILLAR event of my current personality and i will NOT REST till his dreams are SHATTERED!!
I think sae did not 'give up' on being the best striker but found the role of a midfielder more amusing. In real life players change positions when they find their niche. So when sae went out to play with the best in the world, he must have realized that there is so much more to soccer than he knew. (Basically striker is a pretty one dimensional role in football compared to a midfielder who if good can actually control the whole game).
No I do think he gave up. He did say "there's a bunch of people way more amazing than me out there, so I updated my dream" that's not him saying I've found mid field to be my calling or more fun. It's him saying I can't be the best striker when people that he met exist. He 100% gave up on being the best striker and tried to settle in mid field. Which is the whole reason rin got an issue with it. That he abandoned their shared dream cause he gave up, not cause he found something more interesting.
You got the general idea, Sae's behavior is a mix of 3 things a 2 of them are the fact that he wasn't prepared for what the world had to offer and Rin dependency on him. So yeah he is doing it to change Rin's life. But let's not forget that even when Sae got handled as a striker he is part of the New Generation World XI, the world best young players and he is the best in the position of midfielder. Btw your eyes look extra big in this video lol.
