    This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

    Video really could have done with explaining how to turn the machine off. I thought it meant turning it off at the main socket. There isn't an off switch on the machine, you have to put it on the lowest setting and leave it for a minute or so until the lights go off then hold the switch to the right for 10 seconds

    Thank you very much for amazing guide! We have this model for 3 years and it was always showing us yellow light even when we cleaned it. We thought that we have water with high amount of minerals, so we did not care about it that much. However, now it seems that we were not putting enough cleaning liquids. Now it shows us green light when we combined 0.5L of water and 0.15L of cleaning liquid :)

      Hello future me! That sound the descaler makes in the first step makes me think the Kraken is being released :D seems to be working in any case.

    People must be really stupid on here, because the video is very straight forward. Some of these comments are mind blowing

    Steps:
    Make sure the lights are off and your machine doesn't have a pod in/has the cleaner pod in. If light doesn't go off switch off at wall and switch back on. It'll go off after a few seconds.
    1. Mix your descaler 500ml (pint) according to instructions and pour into lumio tank.
    2. Hold lever to hot for 10s or so. The light on the roller bit will flash green/orange.
    3. Let go and put a container/jug under and move lever to hot. It'll half empty the tank over approx 2 mins or so. Move lever to cold it'll empty the rest.
    4. Wait 2 mins or so while you rinse and then refil the tank to full.
    5. Look for 4th bar lighting up and then Move lever to cold and let it run. It'll empty.
    6. Refil tank. Move to hot. When it pops back refill the tank.
    7. move the lever to cold. Let it stand until the roller light goes green.
    8. Clean/wipe pod bay. Done. Refil tank before next cup.

    Same with mine, cold rinse does not stop, not going to wait 20 seconds after run dry to see if turns green. Not sure what sort of pump or just pressurised but doubt it will be good for it to run dry for any length of time (but I could be wrong). After the hot my lights starts a 4/5 & does not move.

    There must have been something wrong with ours. The cold side started at 4th bar as instructed but didn't stop, it ran until the tank was empty, both times I tried it. I then ran the hot rinse cycle and the light turned green. It appears just to be a program that runs a cycle then it says it's descaled, like a reset button.

      @likzam4345 2 роки тому

      mine did the same. i was filling my tank to the "MAX" line and it went empty before the 2 minutes. you must fill it as high as you can then it goes for the 2 minutes when it goes empty.

    • @moongardens
      @moongardens 2 роки тому +1

      Yeah, same here: the water Is never enough to complete the cycle. Thankfully It works even if you have to stop the cleaning and the rinse to refill the container but every time is so stressful 😋

    Actually it does not work like that with mine. After it switches off the hot water, Cold water switches off straightawat and it does not run. Then the progress goes down and up and it still flashes green/yellow and progress displays 4th and 5th bar displayed

    So can I descale the machine without those grey pod thingy or it’s important to have those grey pod to do the descale correctly without damage the machine?

    What a weird descaling method. Waterflow is a few seconds, then stop, another few seconds of waterflow, stop, another few seconds and so on and on. Hope I wasn’t supposed to time the 2 minutes myself lol. With all those stops I have no idea how long it took for the lever to jump upright again in the stop possition but since they say the waterflow is continues with the next step I guess it all works as it should. Turns out with the next step we do need a timer lol.
    I just wish we had an off-switch on this machine, always hate that I can’t turn it off myself.

    • @xoxoHel
      @xoxoHel 4 роки тому

      Leen B. It says that for two minutes the waterflow will start and stop so you dont have to do anything at all. For turning the machine off, you can easily remove it from the charger.
