    English Wheeling Made Simple
Since the last video we've done, we've gained a plethora of new subscribers so we went back to the basics and created another English Wheel video using our "UA-cam English Wheel".
In this video Wray discusses the good and the bad between different English Wheel frames and what you should expect. Wray then goes over the differences between an Upper adjuster and lower adjuster and why he prefers one to the other. He explains the different radiused lower anvils and when you should use them and finally he brings on a real world example using an Alfa Romeo fender.
There are certain parts on a car that rust, especially where we live. He shows a portion of a fender where if it were rusted and we were making a patch panel for it, how to go about it.
We hope you enjoyed this video, let us know in the comments if there is anything else you want to see in the part 2 version of the English Wheel.

Good content. I use my goofy little harbor freight wheel to restore old brass fan blade wings. Still learning, thank you!

If anyone in these comments is thinking of taking one of Wrays classes, I highly recommend it 👌
I learned a ton from the videos, but the in-person lessons are well worth it

Mcmaster used to ship to Canada but after 9-11 and changes to customs rules resulting in additional paperwork they now only send to Canadian outfits that had accounts with them.

Why is the frame so beefy and the wheels are attached with only 1/4in. plate?

Like you said ray, the top wheel is wide to make it idiot proof 😂and you also said you wouldn’t change back to the narrower top wheel! Think about it 🤔

Wray, I wonder if I may ask. That air sander you modify to take the hook and loop base could I ask you for the part numbers of it or info on it so I can source a version of it here. I've been looking for one of these for some time now. Hey If need be I'll US shop for one.
Thanks again. Your wheel plans are a treat, looks great finished just needing the wheels ( one day) and love your videos.

Excellent explanation of the English wheel. Can't wait for the next one on high crown panels and details on all the preparation required to join them. 😀

Cast Iron = Weight & Weight = Ridged, Ridged = Repeatable Accuracy the reason for the BASE of all vintage manufacturing "machinery", these are not really elements critical for The English Wheel as it is a TOOL & not a machine... 1st time watching, you my friend have Truly MASTERERED not only The Wheel but The Manufacturing of The Perfect Tool.. AWESOME.

Weight doesn't necessarily mean rigid - mercury is also very heavy (actually, dense) but isn't very rigid. Cast iron is cheap and effective though :)
