Hey everyone,
Today is Juneteenth, known as Emancipation Day, Freedom Day, or Jubilee Day. It celebrates the end of slavery in the United States, as Union Troops informed the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, that under the 13th Amendment and Emancipation Proclamation, they were finally free. Today, I celebrate my own freedom, and look forward to continuing the celebration to the 4th. Here's to 159 years, and 159 more!
