At 1:20 it's easier to just teleport to Trollheim. Then walk west to stronghold. This quest has a lot of history for me. I quit questing on Kire667 in 2005 because behind the scenes promised mountable horses. They later added toy horse as an April joke but I wasn't laughing. Instead the quest they invented was Troll Romance. 5 years later I'm doing quests again thanks to finding Amber Meow's guides (gc20amber). And well Working for Adze eventually led me back here.. the quest from hell!
What would be your recommendations for someone with 1 defence, 1 prayer, 29 hitpoints. I'm curious if the safe spot for Dad exists in this final fight so that I can use that for Arrg.
Can u edit the guide? if you go through the ice gates you cant come back through, meaning you have to do that whole walk again. I had to do that, very frustrating.

Forgot to recomment on this. I found that using Saradomin Brews and going to the Dad safe spot worked great. He only threw rocks or what ever he did about 2 times and one in the spot he never attacked me once and I could safely use magic on him.
Took an hour or two. The upload speed depends on your internet connection, I have broadband cable, & they had to put a damper on my modem cause my connection speed was so powerful that my computer kept killing the connection cause it couldn't handle it XD

I've got to say the 171 troll was really dissapointing from how easy it was. Maybe thats because I'm a level 97 though...not sure. Anyway I killed it in 30 seconds. Very easy quest!!! :D great guide btw.
dont be alarmed by the fact that he is a much higher level. I am literally just about to finish the quest (i just defeated him), and he was definately one of the easier bosses i have ever fought. I used 10 prayer points (lvl 50 prayer) and I ate one tuna (64 hp) I am level 85 combat, and it took less than 30 seconds. just use ddp++ and spec him, then switch to dragon b axe to finish him.
Can some one help me ? im lvl 56 cb with 76 range, 74 str and 1 def, any way i can kill him i have tryed like 10000 time but i fail :( is there any way to kill plizz help me =) BTW I love your quest guide Amber

the teleport that she was talking about in the begging was Trollheim teleport, just to let ya'll know, it saves quite sometime from getting to Ug...

I love that Jagex changed how to get to the Troll Stronghold -_-. I had to redo that one quest so i can actualy get to the troll Stronghold
can you get the sled back after the quest if you destroyed it?

the lvl 171 is piece of cake its more like a lvl 83 green dragon
if it took less then 30 secs u would need to use prayer pots because only a lvl 3s prayer runs out that fast
