By 12-13 years, most kids have their full set of 28 permanent teeth, not including wisdom teeth. Just like Wendy said, the baby teeth fall off and it would take quite sometime to be replaced by the permanent teeth.

I believe the difference in our culture, at least for me, is our sons cook as well as daughters. In fact, my #2. grandson cooked for 5 of his friends all weekend , and they came from college to visit. I have 6 grandson's and 2 granddaughters. All can build fires, harvest, and keep the gardens, either work full-time or college. ❤
