saw the nolly videos back in the day and was lucky enough to find a Canadian made at my local Long and McQuade (just down the street from the Dingwall shop) and ive owned 6 or 7 since. wasnt one artist that i followed specifically to buy one, but more of buying locally that really sold me on Dingwall basses. Sheldon is a super cool guy and i was lucky enough to have him on my podcast a few years ago. I look forward to whats coming next and hopefully put an order in for my next!
It’s because of the honest tonal clarity with minimal extra flavor. Even having other basses that can match it, this clip is an extremely hard sell that showcases exactly why Sklar’s Dingwall does so well. Dingwall/Darkglass combo is so ubiquitous in metal that it has a counterculture, like an artisanal chocolate ice cream spiked with hazelnut liqueur, but it is just one flavor in the world of bass. This clip sells Sklars model as Sweet Cream, the base product that EVERY flavor is laid over. You’d be crazy to NOT want it.
Does it have a producer switch?
Leland Sklar is the only reason, I follow Dingwall and would buy one aswell.
Jared Smith, inspired me pick up a Dingwall first 😁

Nolly
I love mine. Love it.
Yes! Yes! Yes!
To the colour, to the five strings, to the frets.
And on the top of that a piece of Master Sklar. That's my dream! ❤

Are these available with chrome hardware? as a custom order of course?
For me Jacob Umansky, made me impulsively (oops 😜) buy an NG3, now i got a custom 6 coming!
If your impulsivity gets you a Dingwall, then it’s okay 👍
I'd buy one if the lead times weren't so ridiculous. Any plans to increase production capacity and output?
They introduced the “Fast Lane” series not too long ago. They’re Canadian made, but with limited specs and much faster build time
I agree the lead times stink. But if you had bought one two years ago you'd be playing it right now, so the only thing you can do is get in line.
