This is the best Cliff Notes on a star's life and the Main Sequence I've ever seen. And the Blue Straggler bit is thrown in as a bonus.

The physics of stars is the coolest! One of my all-time favorite AaS! episodes was one you did on Brown Dwarfs, your explanations of fusion and order of elements produced are absolutely fascinating to me!

Now I want to see a Hertzsprung-Russell diagram for baldness.
The selection pressures for head hair are probably less now given how much time we spend under roofs. Plus you get natural immunity to lice infestations.

Humans are like stars, we start out chill and get funky before we collapse into black holes. Blue stragglers are like bald guys that got hair restoration, follicles that don't belong. Great talk! 👍👍

Are solar ejections, flares, possibly a way to 'clean out' some of the non reactive by products of fusion?

How do you know how old a star is? A.. You count the candles on its birthday cake. 😅

Excellent presentation. Good enough for ordinary people to understand stars. However, this podcast isn't a "show" because there's nothing to show. I wish there are some visuals thrown in.

I could listen to this forever. If that were possible, it would be difficult to determine my age also.
On that note, looking at the supposed year I was born, for which I have only minimal proof, and comparing the accumulated time that represents to the age I feel myself to be, furthermore incorporating my own theory that my parents lied to me regarding my actual birth date, I have a reason a ble degree of difficulty determining my own 'age'.
    You see the problem here?
What is the meaning of the word 'age' ?
Any input will , eventually, be processed. Thanks

It seems like a 3D plot of stars using size vs. brightness vs. mass would help illustrate how stars evolve. It might even lead to new insights. So has anyone done this. If so where can I find it?
