I love my camp hoody - we're now encouraging ours to get and wear them. I went hoody rather than blanket as I'm normally getting the fire going. But it's still covered in badges
We encourage our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to start blankets, but if they are not wool they may not be suitable around campfires. I also have a bag covered in pin on badges.
I do not have a camp blanket but I am looking for what to do with a pile of patches from events. Has anyone bought a light weight weight jacket to keep them dry at rainy campouts and put badges on that?
I am remakeing my camp blanket as it got "lost" on a camp in my late teens. As result I lost most of my Guides and Scout badges I achieved or collected. Still upset about it to this day.
I do mine as a rucksack so instead of a camp blanket they go on my camp rucksack . Then im ordering the pendent flags for my room to put old badges on.
Just about to do a camp Craft day, starting camp blankets, making a cutlery bag and a tea towel, I'm a beaver leader so try to get it in to a camp once a year, but it's a fairly 121 activity teaching someone to sew.

😍😍😍😍
My Cubs love their camp blankets, we've had a couple of sewing nights too, they quite enjoy sewing their badges on, it makes them extra proud.
Thank you very much !! I've been searching for a hooded poncho for ages.
From Stuff It, they are good quality
A badge blanket / bag / collection is a collection of memories and can be a timeline of your scouting journey ❤
What do you have?
@@bigmaninthewoods I have a blanket with badges trailing my time in scouting back to before 1982 👍

Sadly you don’t see many Pendents these days :(
@@bigmaninthewoods they are still available on the scout website I'll send you the link now.
As part of the beaver campcraft activity badge they need to start a camp blanket

Sounds a fun camp 😀
