Yeah I figured. Looks like I got the wrong Thrower. But all the other accessories were out of stock. Hahaha. He's happy with it!
@@Ghostbuster-Andy I put the smaller thrower in both I did, then swapped out one for that MOD Blaster for the older of my boys so he's got some light and sound. It was a bit of a passion project for their Christmas last year.
That's awesome. This was surposed to be a birthday present, but I couldn't help myself. And I have a big GB event in a couple of weeks. Wanted him to have it for that. Hahaha

I did the exact same thing and right when I finished ALL of the paint started cracking and peeling off. And I had to cover the whole thing in mod podge to seal it. I'm going to have to put light weights in the bottom of it because once I connected that tube It's nearly impossible for him to get the wand onto the proton pack and have it Click and connect because the tube keeps pulling up the proton pack and since it weighs absolutely nothing it's a big disaster.
Did you have to sand this down before spraying it black?
Gonna make a mates kid one I think.
Thanks for watching dude. I didn't have to sand it down. I just went ahead and and sprayed primer on it first. Then sprayed black.
Awsome job bro, Im on the process of starting my own pack for my 3year old son. Quick question , did you find a way to put the wand on the pack ?
Thanks man. The wand I have is too heavy for the velcro I used. So I haven't found another solution as yet.

@Cosplay-Andy can you please tell me what kind of markers did you use to color in the silver parts . I used a marker pen but once you touch it, it smears do you have the sMe problem?
Maybe you could put some kind of cover on the back so that it covers up the hollow interior.

@@Ghostbuster-Andy You could use something like a Tuppeware sheet cake container to attach the pack to with zip ties. It will also add some thickness to the flat appearance and make it look a lot better.
I wish this had come out several years ago when I scratch built a pack for my friend's son.
It has lights and sound and it still works years later.
I built another pack for his daughter last year and this time I just bought the proton thrower like you have.

Jo. Thanks for watching. The wand I had was a different one. Sorry to say I can't tell you how to add the actual right one, if that makes sense.

The new zap and blast want (FE wand) has the same backing... just looking for ideas.

@@Ghostbuster-Andy aha I meant in general I just got my kid the pack and the MOC. Realized you mentioned it later in vid such a weird choice only the little one has the V hook.
I got some strong velcro to allow it to be placed on the pakc. But it was still quite heavy for that.
